I saw TFBTV did a video on this as well. The guy from Taurus said there is like a renaissance for the 380. It makes sense with Beretta coming out with revamped models as well. The stainless model looks sweet in their site but I’m curious as to the price on it
You can get a PT-92 for 4-500 so I expect roughly that.
The Taurus website says 600 but that’s suggested retail, they come in lower.
While AAC .380 is Out of Stock on the PSA website, it is now marked with price of 0.26 per round.
I have the S&W Bodyguard 2.0 as well, I bought this Amazon.com : EZMAGLOADER Magazine Loader for The Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard 2.0 (not The Single Stack) - Easy Pain Free Loading - Comfortable Grip - Speed Loader Accessories - Large Flanges for Thumb Relief - : Sports & Outdoors as I find the mags really hard to load with the arthritis in my thumbs. Like you I’m really happy with it. I got a Galco PRO 608B Pocket Protector holster that fits just right & I can slip it into Jeans or cargo pants front pocket No problem. At 9.8oz (empty) it’s easy to forget it’s even there.
Ended up with SW 380 EZ Performance. With both thumb safety and grip safety. The only problem is I thought the grip safety would depress further that it does. I think maybe in some designer’s head he was thinking it would give it a thicker grip. What you get is actually not very comfortable grip at all. I think it needs to depress in much further than it does. The issues with having to order most firearms without handling them I guess. Will look around and see if I can replace it with something more flush not sure if anything out there.

That looks unusable.
It’s like the designer only ever looked at a picture of a 1911, but never actually picked one up or even bothered to ask about how it was to shoot one.
Especially for a lady because it was the whole thing of getting something comfortable with milder recoil. I got the recoil right just not the comfort part!
I trusted SW without doing more research. For me it is not bad so maybe keep looking at the Taurus or such, or the Berretta 80x etc. Ugh
Right, I didn’t even know the lemon grip has two designs, one is upper pinned and lower pinned. Lower is a bad design in many opinions.
IMHO there’s something wrong with that example. Granted I’ve never handled one but from what I see why bother with the curve on the rear of the grip? Hell, go with 4 sharp corners on the grip rather than two.
Me? I’d re-read the manual and then call S & W to ask.
Yeah good advice Rufus. I will do that before giving up on it. Maybe I am missing something or adjustable.
I got the Performance because had a little longer barrel and the porting. Pffft
I could see the grip safety not dropping fully in if the thumb safety was in the safe position.
I believe I read that one of the ‘features’ of the Performance Center EZ is that the grip safety sticks out more than on the regular EZ. It certainly appears to be the case in the photos below of the grip safety on my wife’s 380 EZ.
NDZ makes a grip safety for the Performance Center EZ that is billed as having “a nearly flush fit when depressed.” Some people have written approvingly about it on S&W forums.
I had a S&W Equalizer 9mm with the same type of grip safety, I couldn’t get use to it and was uncomfortable in my hand.
I traded it in.
Yeah that is a pain, I don’t think it is going to work. I can use it but doesn’t fit what I thought they made it for. Really kind of disappointed in SW even though they make many fine firearms.
I have two carry guns in .380 ACP, a P365 and a Beretta 84BB. My wife carries a Shield EZ in .380.
Don’t let the caliber snobs lie to you. No one’s ever volunteered to get shot with one of these things.
Man didn’t PSA just have the 84BB for cheap? Used but cheap. Getting shot in the teeth with a 380 might as well be .45 ACP.
We will go tomorrow with another 50 rounds see how the EZ 380 works. Man the slide is smooth, easy to load up, magazine are easy to load, trigger is beautiful. Just getting used to that grip.
They did, really like it.
They sure did, it was a great buy. If they come back up, I’d recommend getting one. Mine was a surplus Italian Guardia de Finanzia issued 84BB.
