so then i had to go look… absolutely yes to this one is perfect imo… and a 19x with a threaded barrel is the same as a 17 with slide cuts that don’t let dirt in magically. imo

Seems like it’s still available because of what it is.
Just like with the Glock 45/19x, it’s the opposite of what would have been useful for a CCW.
I love having alternatives to the more expensive Glock offerings, that are mostly cross compatible, in what, to me is a more attractive esthetic, with better ergonomics & at a more affordable price point.
However I can’t help but notice the same opportunity to fill a nitch that’s been missing, was again missed.
While we can always thow a 17 sized mag in a 19 sized frame, we can’t just slap a 17 sized slide on there, for the velocity bump & longer sight radius.
The 19 was & still is a good CCW option, but with all thing’s “Glock perfection”, it could be better. Thanks to modularity, simplicity & masive aftermarket, we generally have options to enhance the good, eliminate the bad, adjust to our specific needs. However somehow this one configuration keeps getting passed over & I find that surprising since a simple fix.
In short, I love what PSA does & hope they’ll make a Dagger in the Compact Long configuration soon, not to mention getting that skinny 43/48 sized out.

If you’re using a threaded barrel, it is literally the same length barrel as a Glock 17. Zero velocity loss. I guess technically there is a site radius thing, but I have yet to see a half inch longer sight radius make any difference in my shooting.

True enough, though to go apples to apples, a threaded 17 puts you an inch longer & a full length means you can run 34 or 17L slides. Those options offer pretty noticeable increases in both categories.
