5.56 AKM…range report, not a single failure to do anything

Ordered a AKM chambered in 5.56 on a daily deal and finally got around to putting some rounds down range.

Only 150 rounds, but not a single failure to do anything. Used PMC X-Tac 5.56 brass case, and everything fed perfectly.

Was louder than an AR with a little more recoil, but no issues beyond a slight elevation adjustment on the front sight (which was probably my old eyes not lined up properly).

Great rifle so far. Will field strip later and check out the bolt and carrier to see if any wear issues.

I see a lot of folks interested in those new civilian version AK12’s that are chamered for the 5.56x39mm Russian, their answer to Nato equivalent. But sounds like your enjoying it, good for you! Personally Ive never had much luck in the accuracy department when it comes to any cabiler out of the AK platform, even 308.

5.45?
