Got tracking for mags last Friday and Tracking for the pistol this morning (2nd day, once UPS gets it on their truck)!

found out a interesting thing today, all 6 of my PSA 5.7 mags actually hold 24 rounds. at 23 rounds the window is showing half a round, at 24 full round.

Mine will also but they wont fully seat.
oddly i havent received my new mags yet from psa. so ill check them all when i get them in.

so that made me double check and mine will seat in the gun with or without a round in the chamber. its like the gun “somewhat” catches the slot in the mag. bit more effort and it fully seats. might have to do with the slot being L shaped?? so I loaded mag with 24 racked one in chamber and removed mag and installed 24 round mag and it will latch. next time at range will see if there are any feeding, extraction issue.
I mean 25 capacity.

@mr.jeffdh im very curious as to if it will feed fine with 25… i havent shot mine yet, but if it does i’d be thrilled.

I wonder if psa has thought about a magazine extension of 2-5 rounds. It’s just a different base and spring length.
will give it a try this weekend.
good question. or even more extended mags than that… what if you had an extended mag that held 35-40 rounds? 50 even? in a pistol… that would be wicked.

The PSA and ruger magazines are almost identical so i wonder if the “Wingman” +5 Magazine Bumper for Ruger-57 will work.
I have been sidetracked with a different project so have not been messing with guns lately but if i ever get caught up on projects i want to give the magazine extinctions a try.
actually my mags showed up today on my doorstep, i was quite happy about that.

good question. i’d be interested in hearing if this works. I’m also wondering who and how long itll be before someone makes extended mags for the rock.
inserted 24 round mag racked one in chamber, removed mag inserted 24 round mag. ran all 25 flawlessly. did that twice.
I really like the way this gun shots.

this is wonderful man. im so happy for you. I cant wait to go shoot mine. i loaded up some of my mags yesterday for it and am quite happy with it so far. I think its awesome though that it ran great for you… thanks for remembering to let me konw.

i finally received my magazines but gun stuff is on hold for a while so will not be testing the 5.7’s for a while.
i might still get a few magazine extensions to try but cant do range trips.
minor medical problems screwed my plans up.
mr.jeffdh got it to cycle with 24+1 so if the extensions work we may be looking at 29+1 capacity with the magazine only sticking out a inch or so.

the Rock magazine fit the ruger 57 so i am thinking the magazine extensions will work on the PSA magazines.
watch the video at the site to see how it is installed my only concern is the base plate may need a little tweaking to fit in the plastic clips, to me they look a little different but i have a few ruger magazines so i may be able to use the base plates form them for a test.
