I was fortunate enough in February to visit PSA and had an opportunity to shoot the Rock. Since then I’ve been anxiously awaiting its release. PSA was kind enough to send me one of the very first 5.7 Rock pistols! This gun is awesome. It shoots so flat with hardly any recoil. The trigger is so short and crisp with a near instant reset (wish could upload a video). I tossed on the TLR-1 HL as it’s a near perfect fit for the length of the slide. Cannot wait to get this girl to the range!

I picked up the rugger 57 last month while waiting on the rock to get released, i like it but i like the PSA Rock better.
Stopped in to PSA today and they had one in stock but i passed due to one already on order.
Sadly no magazines are to be found
I hope to be able to get them both to the range soon and see how they shoot.

ran 90 rounds through today (American Eagle 40grain) no FTF, FTE only issue was on a mag change I probably didn’t slam it in hard enough. had one in the chamber so slide wasn’t locked open and mag did drop. after slamming it back in no further issues. target was 10 yards away
really happy with it. now if ammo price would come down and PSA would have mags in stock.

I’d like to pickup a ruger 57 as well. I just dont like the price tag on them currently. hopefully i’ll be able to get my hands on one somehow, but i’m not in a rush. I have a FN FiveseveN so i’ve got another pistol which shoots the round.
What makes you like the rock better than the Ruger? Supposedly the ruger mags will work in the rock, but not the other way around. you’ll have to let us know. also about magazines, i hope they get extras in soon, as i’d love to pickup 3 or 4 more.
real nice shootin there Mr Jeff. yeah it did sound like you didnt slam the mag hard enough the first time to cause it not to latch completely. I agree about the ammo and mags. I hope PSA / AaC starts producing the 57 ammo soon at a much cheaper price too… that would be nice.

That’s good stuff hope mine ships soon (along with the JAKLs, Lol). I have the Ruger and a cpl FNs, shot them side by side and not much difference. I want to get the Rock and then I’ll probably unload the others.
As for the Rock and Ruger mags, per the listing Rock mags will work in the Ruger, but Ruger mags won’t work in the Rock??
Which sucks, since I have extra Ruger mags.

thats cool i only have one FN pistol in this caliber, but i do have the ps90 that shoots it also… in the future i’d love to get the cmmg banshee and the new kel tek pistol too… so there are a few options out there. oh and i do want the AR57 upper too… that would be cool to have too… oh well all in time.
I picked up the Ruger 57 in monks corner at the old anglers gas station right by the Walmart for i think $700.
I was on a mission to find some 350 legend ammo so was hitting all the gun shops and came across it.
For some reason the Rock fits my hand better and the trigger is much better than the Ruger.
My ruger is hard as hell to feel the reset so i will be replacing the trigger with a tandomkross and hope that makes it better.

Walmarts here in GA usually have 350 Legend, FMJ and the hunting round…

thats cool… yeah 700 is a good price for theme… i’d love to find it lower if icould but 7 is about where i figure id be at. i think you’re the only person i’ve talked to that is shooting 350 legend.
i love the way the rock feels i thought i loved the dagger until i held the rock. the rock just has a great fit in my hand and contours to my grip without any discomfort.

The 350 legend is due to me leaning towards oddball stuff lately.
I haven’t messed with it much just collecting ammo and test firing it till i get around to really figuring it out.
It is way down my list of guns i need to get dialed/sighted in.
