What about these 27gr. bullets? Why would I pay more
than 40gr. anyone know some pros/cons? Accuracy?

There’s some mixed opinions there and to each their own. Personally I feel one would be fine for EDC, PSD, with the 40 gr SS 197. The AAC 40 gr v-max rounds appear even better with the latest data @Buffman-RANGE posted. I have yet to catch his ballistics gel testing though. I may or may not keep the 27 gr SS195 or SS198 should things change situationally as those are much more effective rounds. I’ll defer to those with more expertise than myself though to more fully answer you’re question. If I were you I would move this question to over there.
