Mad kudos on the 6ARC Sabre and most importantly, the changes made to the BOLT AND BARREL EXTENSION. All of us fans of Grendel and ARC probably thought this should be done and knew it was only a matter of time.

Interesting of course is that Geissele has done something similar on their 6ARC rifle. You guys working together.? LOL

Anyway, 6ARC, 22ARC, and 6.5 Grendel all use the same bolt. Might you be making barrels for all of the mentioned calibers with the new extension and bolt? Grendel chaps would love you even more.

Dont forget 6.8spc. Its a great caliber and its how the arc mag came about with LWRC.

Awesome round 6.8 is, but that’s a different bolt. 6.8 and Valkyrie guys weren’t as concerned with bolt life were they?

I have the ARP superbolt. It has been fine.

That said, A 12.5 6.8 Sabre kind or awesome!

ARP was the standard for 6.8spc until Harrison retired and sold the business to Blackstone. It is a fantastic round for distance and hunting.

I think these sort of “intermediate plus” rifles are a great idea. We’ve always had the ability to step up from a 15 to a 10, but that’s a big jump in size and weight. The Six8 mag well and magazines, which I didn’t know existed until a few days ago, despite being about 12 years old, seems like it will make a lot of this stuff easier. Bigger bolt to address the larger base diameter. What’s not to love about having more options!

yeah, i had built 2 remember… never could find ammo locally so i just devested from them.

It seems the 6.8 is a reloading cartridge. Factory ammo is scarce, but it’s got a lot of capability.

It was plentiful and cheap pre-covid. S&B made some of the best.

Yep! And these calibers (including the Valkyrie) really make extending past 400 yards easy. 6.8 SPC (due to it’s drop) starts getting dropped at this point, but Valkyrie, ARC, Grendel (to include the 22 Grendel | Shame on Hornady) make 500 to a 1K a LOT easier with small frame gassers.

Ive had my 6.8 to 600yrds no issues. I know it will go farther also.

i’ve got my 65 grendel for distance, and i love the rifle… so im happy with it for now.

True. I jumped on the 224V bandwagon as soon as it dropped…bought a bunch of factory ammo and groups at 100yds were terrible…only way I got sub MOA groups was with my handloads…Savage MSR-15, 18”barrel with 1/7 twist. I was looking at 6ARC, but I didn’t want another caliber to reload. I doubt if I’ll ever shoot that 224V again.

You had a few 224v didnt you that you sold? Seems i remember driving to Clinton to do a deal.
