9mm AR build

I just bought a blem A.R. 15 complete lower and a complete 16 inch 9 mm upper. do I need a magazine block adapter to use Glock magazines on this rifle?

If so, does PSA carry these? I cannot find them on the website doing a few searches.

Thank you.

I am not sure PSA sells the adaptors but yes you need one. I know Sylvan Arms has one, there may be others out there so look around.

I like the endomag pmag conversion. I’ve had excellent results with it. LOTS of rounds down range when the only consistent place we had back then to shoot was a pistol club that allowed pistol caliber carbines.

Ouch! That is as much as I paid for the complete lower.

I went with the PSA AR-9 lower to save hassle and a little bit of cost. When I purchased it, the total with tax and shipping was $126.35.

looks like it’s on sale right now

You’re making this hard for me  Nows not a good time for more purchases

get the lower now and wait until a suitable upper goes on sale. My wife really likes shooting this thing.
there’s an entire thread on this - Official PSA AR-9 Photo Thread: - PSA Products / AR-9 - Palmetto State Armory | Forum

So you can buy that lower and switch everything over parts wise (take down pins, trigger, etc.) With a 9mm upper you will also need a 9mm buffer and spring which is different than a standard ar-15 one.

Also take note that AR-9s can be finicky with ammo.

That’s why I’m hesitant to swap out lowers. Mine runs reliably with any ammo we’ve thrown at it. I know my luck will run out if I change anything

I bought the 16” barrel and the gen4 bolt from psa. Anderson 80 556 lower and Anderson 9mm upper receiver. 9mm buffer and spring I ordered from I think KAK? Then the endomag conversion from mean arms. I don’t know if it was just blind luck or what……but the only time it had an issue was once at the pistol club, it failed to pick up the first round when charging even after a few pulls. Took the first round out and it was fine. So now that mag just has a paint mark on it as a heads up potential headache :yum:

I’m in MD right now, but when I get back to the VA house where the ar9 is, I’ll take pics. But I warn y’all…….the 80 lower I rattle canned, because it was a bit of a sheets and giggles build that we didn’t anticipate much from. If I’d have had it cerakoted etc. it would have been a failing dung pile. It’s also why I don’t get my racebikes professionally painted……….that’ll be a crash weekend :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: I like rough and tumble
