AAC 5.56 Ammo Question - Bulk Ammo

I have always thought that buying in bulk was less expensive that not.

https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-5-56-nato-55-grain-fmj-ammo-250rd-with-aac-blue-30-cal-ammo-can.html - $0.64 per round

https://palmettostatearmory.com/aac-5-56-nato-55gr-fmj-ammunition-20rd-box.html - $0.50 per round

Aside from the convenience of having 250 rounds in one bucket vs opening twelve and a half boxes to get the same result…anyone have a thought on why the bulk rate is more expensive?

Thanks.

It’s the can huh?

You get an ammo can with it and shipping will perhaps be cheaper.

Idk then. Could just be the BF deals also. You also would need to check shipping with 240rds and 260 rds. The ammo can is 250.

I did 260 @GuitarGuy

Where is the BF “deal” you mentioned?
@GuitarGuy

You pay More per round to buy in bulk versus individual boxes?

OR

A plastic ammo can for $35

I dont know how they come up with what is labled a BF deal.

Inflation and artificially driven shortages have increased prices on nearly everything.

I think I might reach out to PSA directly.

I know that everyone was waiting with bated breath, but PSA basically said that the cost of the ammo can is factored into the per round cost.

I like that ammo, so I bit the proverbial bullet and bought the can. Future purchases will be for 20 round box though.

Also, some of you might not want to believe it, but a lot of teenagers actually turn into good drivers. So, if you’re a good driver, watch out for turning teenagers.
