AAC 5.7 constantly in stock?

Seems like the AAC 5.7 ammo is pretty consistently in stock now. I wonder if that means we’ll start seeing sales, bulk packs, and other rounds being made available. :face_in_clouds:

In stock is a good thing. More options would be good too as that helps drive price. $50/50 of A/E is a thing of the past i hope.

Not sure if my thoughts are right. But, another thing it makes me think of is if they are getting 5.7x28 squared away and in stock on a regular basis maybe thats an indicator AAC can focus on the next caliber for release… fingers crossed.

I’m super happy with the calibers they have so far I just want some other loads for those like the 10mm and 5.7! Soon hopefully!

That’s what I’m wanting to see more 5.7 loads made available. Wouldn’t be upset if they started producing a nice 22 magnum load but it’s not exactly what I would call critical.

The next big intro will be a Rock 5.7 upper…IMO.

Just seems to me the FMJ now available are hotter than the 5.7 V-Max…this is seat of the pants recoil evaluation…shoots great.

I think they were very close to the same velocity in @Buffman-RANGE 's testing, which is awesome news for sure. I was expecting the FMJ to be neutered like ae57.

Or super-neutered like Fiocchi

I shared this with my Patrons a few days ago  (A gentle hint that this data take time and $$ to get, I take donations, lol)

I’m all for knowledge sharing  I just tend to hold these things back for days/weeks to give Patrons a benefit so to speak.

I’m all for the idea of different bullet weights/loads from AAC for the 5.7, but I hope they will use some of their engineering brainpower to develop a SabreSlick 2.0. The greasy cases are a deal breaker for me and I really don’t mind the “neutered” Fiocchi FMJ for range practice.

Yeah they could definitely go for a less noticeable coating.

I guess this would also be a great place for me to say that I would absolutely adore lead free rounds from AAC.

Even if they’re not hyper spicy, it would still be awesome to reduce lead contamination while practicing.

This is one thing which I do not understand. Why does AAC need to engineer any coating at all? Now that FN has had the 5.7x28 officially adopted as a NATO Cartridge, they had to publish all relevant manufacturing specs so that other NATO members can manufacture ammo which will interchange. Isn’t the coating part of the spec? Without it, the ammo is basically non-functional. So why should AAC, EA Ammo, or anyone else have to reverse engine the coating or engineer a new one? Isn’t the a published spec?

Peace favor your sword,
Kirk

Seems I read somewhere (maybe here?) that royalties have to be paid to FN if they assist with setup of ammo production facilities…

Yeah, but if the lubrication type is publicly known and not otherwise prohibited from production, then it should just be a matter of figuring out how to manufacture it and apply it. Although it could be that they started working on their 5.7 production line before 5.7 was accepted into NATO.
