AAC Ammo Master Thread

I was going to post this too but had to order beforehand

Update: Sabre version now out of stock

Thanks for making 5.7. I heard on a board somewhere that 5.7 used to be a hotter faster round, but after Ft. Hood manufactures lowered the powder content. Anyone know if there’s any truth to this?

Lets make that a separate thread please.

556 70gr tsx. Bought 2 boxes in case I decided to hunt with 556. Shoots very tight groups, but poi is 6 inches higher on average of all other various grains and between a couple different rifles. Anybody else shooting the aac 70gr Barnes tsx? This is pretty strange

Update on 5.45:

These are made on the same machines that make the 7.62x39. Once demand dies down and AAC has enough stock to last they will switch to 5.45. As of now, x39 is still in high demand.

Just got in some 75 grain Sabre Black Tip 5.56 and this is what I found. Doesn’t say much for the quality control for something like that to go out, I’m nervous to shoot any of it.

DEAR AAC AMMO,

Any chance you guys would consider making some 6.8 SPC ammo like SSA used make. On the hot side. Lotta guys still have and use 6.8’s. I personally would love to see some hot 90gr and some hot 120gr. Anyway, just thought I’d mention it.

6.8 spc is one of the 10 calibers Jamin wants to add over the next 2 years.

Not generally known, but the rifle is generally starting to move in recoil before the bullet leaves the barrel. A slower velocity and increased recoil will hit a little higher.

That looks like it happened AFTER the cartridge was assembled. Agree it should not have gotten “out the door”.

I didn’t find any more in the few boxes I had ordered, so I went ahead and ordered another 200. If I find anything wrong I will post it.

Based on 6.5G cases that are cut and necked. Gonna be a good round.

This is a 5 round group of 300 Blk AAC Amax 208gr from my DDM4 PDW rested on ammo box @ 25yds. More accurate than any ammo I’ve tried. I need more!
