About the Reloading category

This is a spot to discuss anything and everything reloading related. If you are interested in having topics stickied here - PM to get them added.

Happy to see this category, as I suspect there’s a ton of knowledge in these forums. I got started to make shooting a .50 BMG more affordable, but discovered that reloading is a soothing and rewarding way to spend some time. Now I have dies for everything I shoot except for 7.62x39… for now. Now, I just need more primers.

Great, every good gun enthusiast site needs a reloading section.

Yes, the primer gods need to show us some mercy!

Has there been any word on if/when AAC is going to start selling primers to the public?

Reached the point where it was time to part with some of my old brass, -223 -45acp -38spcl. 30~30.They all served me well for many years and countless reloads, don’t keep a detail log on round counts, some of them look pretty tired, there comes a time for retirement.
See what the scrap guy is paying for brass these days? :money_mouth_face:

The scrap man isn’t paying much around here. Source: my 5-gallon bucket was full a few weeks ago (I cull as I sort or as I am prepping and when the bucket is full, it goes to the recycler).

Turn brass into cartridges. Turn cartridges into brass. Repeat. Just some plinking loads for the .44.

Did some 30-06 reloads over the weekend and hit the range today.
Great results. 20fps standard deviation ~2650fps. 5 shot group at 100 yards can be covered with a quarter shooting off of a bag, not a vise.

Thats what I’m waiting to hear too! That and cases!

Found a 9mm/.380 sorting trick, if you have the old wooden Midway #5 loading blocks (or can get them)
