Just curious where the AD questions & answers come from. I’ve tried giving non sarcastic answers for certain items but my responses never post in the ADs. Yet the “move from (insert whateverstan) “ responses that are wrong get posted. I appreciate the humor in those responses, but if the potential buyer is asking a valid question because of concerns over laws in their state, and someone tells them to just move from there. That’s going to cause the buyer to not buy products that are actually perfectly legal to buy and ship to their state. Those responses cause a loss of sales, but worse it keeps fellow Americans unarmed just a little longer. So even though it’s meant humorously, it’s also pretty lame, ultimately.
yeah, maybe. But in the case shown it could also be correct. I’m pretty sure Maryland has an assault weapons ban. No purchase or importation of AK’s or AR’s. I don’t know if it’s been challenged or struck down recently.
No. That upper is only a no go once attached to a complete lower…….which is also MD legal. So what many MD’ers can do is have a 100% legal lower, but various uppers. They’ll keep an HBAR 556 on it generally, and have other profile/caliber etc uppers for when we shoot out of state. It doesn’t take long from most places in MD to go to out of state ranges, so it’s commonly done. So yes, as a lifelong MD shooter, till my recent VA move, telling potential buyers of any psa upper that they can’t buy it because they live in Maryland is absolutely false, wrong and costs psa the sale
waaait… ok, I’m not arguing one way or the other on the topic but… The upper is legal, the lower is legal but together they are illegal and you would have to go out of state to possess or fire it?
Yep it’s stupid. And I’m not being argumentative either…….its all good man, we are just discussing. 556 ARs are actually legal in MD contrary to misinformation, they just have to be an HBAR. All other calibers have none of that. But this is why we tend to not like when people within our own 2A community give wrong info, such as telling someone who’s likely new to the AR platform and trying to navigate MDs already insane laws.
I’ve heard when you tie your shoes in MD it’s illegal to start right over left but perfectly fine the other way.

Now all my other OCD friends here are guaranteed to spend at least 10 minutes today tying their shoes trying to figure out if they’re doing it the right way.
That’s such a wild rule. How do they expect people to actually keep up and follow something so arbitrary and senseless?
