Nothing wrong with the 10.5” PSA upper in 300aac! Love it.
My question is about getting an adjustable gas block for it if one is available or recommended.
I use a Rugged Alaskan 360.
Everything is sooty and my fingers black from a few hours at the range.
You can get one. There are several good ones on the market depending on how much you want to pay. Just measure your barrel (probably 750) so you get the right size. I recommend also getting a new gas tube and pin. That qay you dont have to mess with switching out the one you currently have.
Thanks for responding. I just got the upper a few days ago so it is brand new, but i sense the desire to limit the blowback. Getting a new gas tube, so I won’t have to switch???
Yes. If you dont get a new gas tube you will have to drive out the retaining pin and reuse it.
Will a jakl gas block work on my .750 10.5” 300 aac ?
Are all pistol length tubes the same length?
If I stay with PSA WILL the components be more likely to get along?
No, definitely not. The Jakl has block is unique to that design and will not work on a normal AR.
This is what I have. https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-10-5-pistol-length-300aac-1-8-phosphate-9-lightweight-m-lok-upper-with-bcg-ch-5165448418.html
Pistol tube. .750 barrel.
I am about to buy this for my new upper :
PSA CUSTOM AR-15 Gas block-click switch adjustable #10037
PSA AR15 gas tube -pistol- 1671
Good match?NO IT IS NOT…I JUST SAW THIS :
*Designed for use with Carbine Length and Longer Gas Systems
*Not for use with Pistol Length Gas Systems
I personally use Superlative Arms. There are cheaper options but SA just work.
+3 for Superlative arms because I have 3 on various rifles. Including one a 300blk pistol.
same here i have 3
As others have said, look at Superlative. They will absolutely handle pistol (or even micro) length gas systems. If you look around you can often find them on sale for $79.99 and free shipping if you are patient. I have used many different AGBs and Superlative is hands down quality, reliable and durable.
Looks like it’s been a few days since the last update here but figured I would give a response. As a few have mentioned the SA adjustable is a great option. For a couple of cheaper options I have used the PSA blocks with good results as well.
I use this one on a 10.5 PSA 300blk using a Surefire SOCOM 300 and it works great. Yes, there is still a little soot and gassy but the ability to tune to your liking is there. I am shooting both supers and subs through the same setup and have to find a middle-ground for both. This block is less intuitive to use as the front screw is the lock and the side screw is the adjustment.

Also the PSA click-type that I am using on a 7.5 300blk that works equally as well and is a little more intuitive to adjust as the lock screw is the side and adjustment is in the front.

Not sure if it was answered above but it looked like a question on pistol length tubes. Pistol Length is pistol length regardless of brand. It is a standard that is the same across manufactures and parts. The PSA 10.5 300blk is a pistol length and any pistol tube will work.
Driving the pin out of the blocks sucks, the 10 bucks for the new tube is worth it to avoid the headache of driving the pin out and trying not to damage anything.
Hope this helps.
