How is this gas block #116001 secured to the barrel? Roll Pin or Set Screw? Is the adjustment screw accessed from the front, or side? Thanks.
Rambo on Dec 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Set screws from the bottom.
Will this fit the psa 10 .308?
Sulli on Dec 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I would compare your existing gas tube to one on an AR-15. If it is larger (as some AR-10’s are), the gas passage inside the gas block and barrel may be as well. Installing a gas block with a smaller diameter passageway could cause an under pressure issue. Similarly, changing to a smaller diameter AR-15 gas tube could result in the gas tube not sealing properly on a larger diameter AR-10 bolt carrier gas key, probably causing complete cycling failure. PSA should be coming out soon with the 5 position adjustable gas block found on their new Gen3 PA10’s. I’m waiting for those.
Does it close completely off?
James R on Nov 28, 2018
Is this a gas block or is it really a gas bleed? The second port adjacent to the gas tube port, with the adjustment screw inline makes it look like a bleed off valve.

Which screw adjusts the gas and which screw is the set screw?
Brandon G on Feb 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Screw on the side is the gas adjustment. This block does NOT come with the gas tube retaining roller pin FYI. The two screws on the bottom hold the block to the barrel. Hope this helps
Is this “low profile”?
NOOBY on Mar 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes that is a low profile. Also an adjustable gas block is the second best upgrade you can make for your AR(first being the trigger). So get the adjustable gas block.
So is this the same gas block that comes by default with the Gen2 PA10 uppers?

Does this have a way to lock the gas adjustment screw from moving ?
Doug M on Aug 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: There is no way (that I can see) to lock it, but once you start shooting, there will be powder fouling that will make it more snug. I've not had any issues with the screws on adjustable blocks moving, that I've noticed.
Which direction do you turn the adjustment screw to increase gas flow?
Robert D on May 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Counter clockwise. There are a few videos on YouTube that you can watch to show the proper way to adjust this gas block. It is important to know wether you are under or over gassed. The one indication is at what “Hour” does the brass get ejected from the rifle. Watch a few videos to get the idea.
will this fit under m-lok rail on pa10? Does not indicate the amount of space needed to fit under handrail. Thanks

I have a stock PA-10 with 20" barrel. Do I need to replace the tube as well?
Bryan F on Jun 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, the gas tube you have also works with this adjustable block
Has anyone used this gas block and how does it perform? Also is it nitride? I can't find info anywhere on this gas block. Thanks.

It is adjustable...I’m sure a more expensive unit would work better but ‘you get what you pay for.

Highly recommend!
Bought the adjustable gas block because of over gassing problems with some of these rifles and in case I ever chose to load custom rounds. Worked perfectly out of the box!

Better Design
I have adjustable gas blocks on all my platforms and this is the first withe side adjust screw. This one seems to have a more positive result on the adjustment. You can tell the levels of gas flow better. In the future I will use this type for my builds. Good job PSA

Ok.
Put this on a suppressed PA-10 and it's a whole new gun- it reduced recoil considerably and I'm really happy with that. But it scratched my barrel going on (there was a burr inside that left a gouge on the top of my barrel). And FYI, you can't shut the gas off completely- my rifle still locked the bolt back on an empty magazine as long as my suppressor was still on. With it all the way "closed". Kinda weird but whatever.
