Has there been any update on this front? I’d love to see an AK P GF5 E. Please tell me this is in the works? Take my money already

First, Welcome to the forums @ethanreservedsense please stick around and enjoy and post so we all get to know you in the community. 
secondly, I’m not sure on the scheduling / availability of the GF5 AK Pistols and if/when they will become available… that said however, i did just pick up a brand new AK-p GF3 triangle side folding pistol with cheese grater upper and redwood furniture.and i must say that thing is incredible. It has basically all the same things the GF5 has except the FN hammer forged barrel, so if you want to buy one of the GF3’s instead i’d highly recommend it. It according to the GF3 description on their web page has all the Hammer forged goodies that you’d get in a gf5 minus the FN manufacturing… which to some is worth the extra money yes, i know, cause ive done the same thing before with PSA vs FN barrels. but lets be honest here none of us are going to put 10k rounds through any rifle / pistol we buy here, hell we cant afford that much ammo to do it much less the time and energy needed to shoot that much and actually get to wearing out a barrel. anyways, i guess what im saying is, dont be afraid of the GF3, as its damn good as a pistol too. I love mine.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll look into this the GF3. Do you have experience with the GF4 for the AK-P?
no. sadly i dont. It too has a CHF barrel that is made in house. Personally I went with the GF3 over the GF4 because they didnt have one listed in the combo i wanted. and even the one i got, i still had to modify more, as i wanted it to have the ALG trigger too. So the first thing i did when i got mine was put an ALG trigger in it, and also add a sling, and optic.
If the GF4 would have had the AKP with the cheese grater upper and redwood lower furniture, triangle folding and krink brake, i’d of gotten it. same goes if they had a gf5. but because they didnt, i went with the one that was most equipped how i wanted it. I figured i could always put a trigger in it since none came with the one i wanted setup like i wanted it. i hope that makes sense.
The ALG trigger is huge. I have it on my GF5. Worth the money. Thanks for all the responses on this point!

yah i wanteed it if i was going to have a psa ak. so its in there andis good to go. Now it practically is a gf5 in my book. lol.
