I bought a brand new PSA AK-RD GF5 Reverse dong Polish style under folder w/Cheese grater, AK. Just got it yesterday On inspection, why is stamped GF3???
Is it a GF 5 or not, I could have bought a GF3 weeks ago I wanted a 5.

Is there a serial number on the bottom of the receiver forward of the magazine? It may be hard to see because of the dong. The other thing is that seems like a low serial number for a GF3 that is new.
Yes I can see the serial number just didn’t post it, is it identified in there? Some letters and couple of numbers, before the last four digits you see next to the GF3.

It should have a prefix of GF3 or GF5, I was mainly concerned if it was different than the pictures you posted. I could see it potentially getting mixed up. My thought on the actual serial number being low is that my GF3 is number 25528 and I bought it when they were the newest model. I would expect a new GF3 to have a higher number than that. Hopefully someone from PSA will chime in and it is just a misprint. A GF5 should have the chrome lined barrel, but I’m not sure if that is marked anywhere on it.
Also I would think it should be stamped GF5 not GF3. There’s a $200 to $300 difference in price from a G3 to a G5 and the G3’s are and have been available for weeks, I waited on back order for this, if its just a GF3 with a Cheese grater and a forward dong added to it, its going back and will be my first and last purchase from PSA.

My gf3 bought in October of 2020 has a five digit serial number. Gf3 29000. And my gf4 32000. This should be interesting…
This thing is also missing its cleaning rod.

I do not have this model, but my GF5 is marked GF5 and came with a cleaning rod. It’s marked GF5 on the front trunnion and the bolt carrier.
Ill bet my 103 thats a gf3. Hopefully they didnt charge you for a gf5.
I am SO OVER owning this thing. I was Charged for a GF5 they shipped me a GF3 and didn’t ship a cleaning rod, I try and call customer service, you sit on hold all day. I tried contacting them via Chat, I got someone to reply they wanted pictures, I sent them, and then it goes into a black hole. Basically They did a Bait and Switch. I have paper work that says its supposed to be a GF5 I paid over $1100 for this unit and its a GF 3 I could have got for $800 to $900. The way its been handled and the way I see it, this is going to local gun shop to be sold and I’ll purchase a Century Arms VSKA or Kalashnikov USA KR-103. If I wanted a GF3 I would have Purchased the GF3 that I wanted. I WANTED a GF5. PSA did a Bait and switch and then they are not good on communication or remedying the situation. They Have the Serial Number of the firearm they sold me, yet no one has called and said…Ooops, we made a mistake. Instead Silence, and in this case Silence ISN’T BLISS!!!

@Tman well CS isn’t on the forum, but a question for you. One of the differences in gf3 vs gf5 is the barrel (they both have same hammer forged internals). If you have a GF5, the barrel should be FN marked. GF3 came with the DC Machine Barrel, Nitride iirc.
I was wondering how this had turned out for you. Did you try to contact them any way other than phone? They are pretty proactive over on the facebook groups, not sure why they wouldn’t be here but they aren’t. PSA customer service is usually top notch.
Where on the barrel can I find this marking. (that was the main reason I wanted the 5 it had the newer barrel, And I wanted the DAM cleaning rod, even if I never used it)
I tried by phone, by chat and by email. I reached someone on Chat, he wanted pictures, I sent him everything via email. Then it went into a black hole, they don’t answer for days, I asked status after a week guy sends back the warehouse hasn’t answered him yet, and back to the black hole.
Look on top of the barrel behind the front sight. It might be very faint. I’ll take a picture later on if you’re not sure what to look for, it should be pretty obvious though. Hope things get worked out for you!
It’s a GF3 bro GF5 comes with FN CLB n ALG trigger in the picture u put i don’t see the lighting Bow trigger from ALG i bought the GF3 FDE n installed the ALG trigger awesome AK
Thanks for the info. I checked top of barrel, I can not find any marking using high intensity flash light and a magnifying glass.
