This has been out-of-stock for a while. Has PSA stopped selling the ALG trigger upgrade that fits in the AKV?
They have been out of stock most places since Geissele announced a G branded AK trigger. Speculation is it will take over instead of the ALG (which is Geissele’s sister company).
Oof. I hope they don’t abandon the ALG. I looked up the Geissele and it appears to be a cassette. I’m sure it’s great and I’ll probably get it for some rifles but I love the ALG for922 in kit builds–would prefer the non-cassette/traditional design for those.
Hope PSA also keeps the ALG for the AKV–it really is an excellent trigger, especially in this platform. I love it enough that I’ll probably keep waiting to see if it comes back in stock for this build I want to complete.

i’m with you @neex … i love the alg in the AK’s that psa produces. I am hoping to pickup an AKV here sooner or later with the ALG in it… i’d hate to see it go away completely. As for Geissele changing it to their own cassette, i wouldnt be against it as long as it performs the same way as the ALG, or better.

I have one but haven’t got the nerve to install it yet. 
you’ll be fine… just read the instructions and all will be good.

I want the JMAC Handguard and gas tube so I may wait till I pick that up and make a project day of it all, then go shoot it, of course.

I have a Hyper fire trigger in mine and I am pretty impressed with it, just as light as the ALG with just a tad more travel pull before it breaks cleanly. If your on the fence about purchasing or finding an ALG trigger, give Hyper fire a try. Joe Bob Outfitters has them for $49 on sale, and they perform exactly the same if you have good trigger technique.

I ordered my Hyper Fire trigger from Primary Arms, on sale for $63
The stock PSA trigger was good, but the HF is even better …and I got tired of waiting on ALG/Geis
