Seems the only thing tougher than finding ammo these days is finding a new mountain bike. Still riding my 26” Specialized RockHopper from 2006.
Used to race for GT back in 2000-2001. Still rocking my GT Avalanche set up for downhill.
Not mountain biking, but I spend a ton of time on our local trail. Trek Verve2.
Welcome @Midnightmoon !
Was big into it for several years. Shoulder labrum repair and nerve damage have put the hobby on permanent hold, but I’m all for talking about it here! The almost new On One Codeine 27.5 still sits in the garage looking pretty because I can’t accept that I might as well sell it.
You aren’t kidding. I looked locally and online. A quality bike is almost impossible to purchase right now with no delivery dates available. I ordered a new AK-47 from PSA instead ![]()
An Ak is another purchase I’m looking to make. Cant find anyone to take my money. I’m looking at Fezzari bikes. They are a direct to consumer builder out of Utah. Great product, great prices and a 6-8 month wait time. What type of AK did you get? I know very little about makes and models.
I have the PSAK-GF3. Couldn’t ask for anything better. Absolutely flawless.
Definitely rocking the MTB as often as possible.!

I’ll ship you mine! (for a worthy fee, of course) Can’t ride anymore, and this one is practically new…
Great looking bike.
What ya got? More importantly, what size?
I’m trying to learn. I’ve done a very small portion of the Colorado trail near Kenosha Pass. I’ve got an old Gary Fisher that’s a complete noob bike. Doesn’t even have disc brakes.
I’d call myself a novice mountain biker.
BluJay what and where do you ride? I’m in South Ga so you can imagine what a hot bed this areas is for Mountain Bikers. I have been fortunate to make a few trips to Utah, but work and lack of unlimited funds keeps me close to home most of the time. There’s a few trails around Jacksonville that are at best “hilly”. Still a good reason to be outside, in the woods, getting some exercise.
Just like everything else it seems, it was first hard to find the big items, then the main accessories, now the ancillary bits. Hopefully things swing back eventually.
Even in ND do we have good trails. Check out Maah Da Hey in western ND.
Not really Mtn. biking so to speak nowadays, seems I get on my bike and think I’m 14 again. At 63 I don’t heal as fast. I’m a dirt road rider now or toddle around the hood exchanging pleasantries with other old farts on bikes, enjoy it while you can.
