Welcome to the Mini club. We love getting in arguments with AR guys because they know we’re secretly cooler than they are. You want to sleeken that thing up, get a Hannibal rail and direct mount a reflex to it…and whatever you do, avoid ProMags. Accuracy Systems is a great resource for parts and mods.
And yes, I have a bad GunBroker addiction. I only pull the trigger when I stumble upon very good deals, but that’s truly a bad justification for spending money I shouldn’t be. At least I can tell myself I’ll never lose value on them on resale, even though I won’t ever sell them. Semi-recently, within the past couple years, I’ve scored a brand new stainless Desert Eagle for $1725, a barely-touched Colt Python for 900, and very good condition Taurus 689 for $450.
Sometimes, around 2-3AM, if I’m restless, I’ll hop on, set the filters to sort by “all guns, auctions only, ending soonest” and see what pops up. You never know what kind of a deal you may catch at that hour when there’s only other lunatics like yourself awake and on there.

If it make you feel better, my wife has a habit of shamelessly claiming any Stainless firearm I have that she likes to shoot. So the odds are about 80/20 that I spent the $$$ and my wife will claim the rifle with a simple “I love it, thanks, you should by me a new case for my rifle.”

now thats how to do it. I do something similar on most of the gun sites i visit. for instance on PSA’s every so often i search all of PSA’s guns and then select the order of display to being cheapest first. so far i’ve gotten myself 2 shotguns. both under 225.00. one was 149 and the second was 199. if i keep it up, i may have more shotguns than ar-15’s lol.
