Anyone know the difference between these two?

Can anyone tell me what the differences are between these two? 516446780 vs 5165447638

The “lightweight” one has the upper rail milled down to reduce weight. I may or may not have a couple like that and love them. If you find you need additional rail space in the future you can easily add additional rail sections in the MLOK slots there.

Both are listed as “lightweight” but the rail is the only difference i can see. Thank you all

The top one.

I think the bottom one is the one thats milled down?

LOL, I should have clicked them again. The one with the smooth section that ramps back to the rail at the front

One has a full pic rail. The other doesn’t

Do you know of any products that let you mount something to the top of the lightweight rail?

I recently bought this (https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-mid-length-5-56-nato-1-7-phosphate-13-5-lightweight-m-lok-moe-ept-rifle-w-mbus-sight-set.html) rifle not realizing that that it was 3/4 M-Lok; the top certainly looks like it’s M-lok, but the gaps are a couple millimeters too narrow. Imagine my surprise when I tried to mount an adapter for my light’s pressure switch.

Amazon? Lots of knockoffs for Magpul there unfortunately. They got me once on BUIS. IIRC there’s a slight difference between MLOK MOE and MLOK as well.

Are you putting the accessory in the 12/3/6/9- O’Clock position, or the others? I don’t believe the oblique positions are intended for use as MLOK.

Also, what @Rufus sez about MOE.

Was trying to put it at 12 right behind the picatinny section for the front BUIS.

Had an epiphany at work earlier that I may be able to use needle nose pliers to stick the T-slot nut in through the side and screw the pic adapter in through the top. Ran home on my lunch break to try, and it worked like a charm.

I did have to sand the bottom of the pic adapter a tad but it’s secure enough with the screws and a couple of zip ties.

Maybe, but I was looking for a solution that I could be reasonably sure would work from the get-go. Luckily I was able to figure out a workaround.

Thanks for your response though!

I should have been more clear in my first post.

I was wanting to mount a pressure switch at 12 right behind the pic section (as I have MBUIS on that section). The 3, 6, and 9 are M-lok, and I was able to test mounting different things to each spot. But, on this particular handguard, at 12 the slot is too narrow for the T-slot nut. I didnt realize it until after trying (unsuccessfully) to mount the switch at 12. I pulled up the reviews on that rifle and someone else brought up that they had the same issue.

Luckily, with some pliers and sandpaper I was able to resolve the issue.

Sorry about any confusion. :slightly_smiling_face:
