A link to the “reliability” Kit would be appreciated.
I use my home built AR .22 a lot. I like it. My only complaint is FTE effectively once in a while.

Michael www.borebuddy.com you will find the kit
i can post internal pics of mine if anybody needs it
the 6lb spring (red) from Bore Buddy was the biggest difference maker

I have a 22mag AR, but for 22lr I can not beat 10/22 in all its weird configurations. I mean that stuff goes back to the 80s?
Longer than that I think @tsbond
Is 22LR really in danger of bolt bounce?? Looks a little bit like a marketing ploy.
think they mean the entire bolt moves front to back a little, not the part that slides when shooting
i dont use the plug, my buffer tube is empty
I know what bolt bounce is…it usually happens with PCC’s. I’m saying I don’t think 22LR is strong enough for that….
Building two they were picky… the collard/detent bolt bounce is real until you find the right tune and spring. I run the bb plug and 3# spring in a pistol for subs. Rifle has the red spring for supers…no tube on it.
its not that part of the bolt, .22 bolt cycles within itself
I forgot to mention replacing the firing pins due to lite strikes…no more after that. The rifle had a few FTE so l mocked up this shim…it worked.
I know. That’s why I am confused as to why they say it helps with bolt bounce. bolt bounce is not really an issue with 22LR because of the way the bcg is designed vs a regular ar15.
they’re calling it that, but its not really lol
exactly
more of wiggle than a bounce
i broke like 4 CMMG ones, switched to BB hardened one and its been solid for like 4 years
10-4! Wow 4 of them. Earlier in this thread l praised you not enough for your intel helping me tune mine and put a end of embarrassing moments on a private “gathering”. Because of you brother that is all behind me. What a learning experience it was
