PSA has a .22lr bolt for dedicated .22lr barrel,
If you have a 5.56 barrel you can buy the chamber adapter separately.

nice! i already got the whole cmmg boxed kit with mags ect.. i was planning on using a 556 barrel is there anything to be concerned about?

I think the kits are great.
While reading info about the kit before I bought one the common concerns were compromises in accuracy, reliability, and additional cleaning requirements.

Twist Rate is about twice as fast as what .22lr would like. Could be quicker fouling issues. Otherwise… meh. If it works.

Oh! Almost forgot - if future-you ever plans on shooting 5.56 through that barrel, you’re gonna have one heluva time with the Carbon Ring in the chamber. Those barrel-adapters don’t “seal” perfectly, and after a few thousand rounds, it’s a right SOB to get the crud out so the bigger rounds will Chamber.

If you have no such compulsion, don’t worry about it too much.

I’m thinking about getting one of those kits with magazines as well. @MichaelAnthony

Are you buying anything else? I haven’t researched anything yet.

I have a 556 that I can dedicate to 22lr

@19foxtrot any suggestions?

i read to lube it up good and take it slow to begin with and it should break in smooth.. then i hope as it gets dirty it will become more accurate

You know it will probably help to have some additional soot in the barrel :joy:

i think you’ll love it.. remember to run it a bit wet.

i love mine and it runs great!

no nothing to be concerned with.

everytime im done shooting the .22 i take the bolt out, put in a 556 bolt and mag and fire off a few .223/556 just to help clean the lead out of the barrel.. never have any issues.

Should I also order this?

Sorry Steve didn’t mean to tag you :grimacing:

I’ve been happy with the CMMG conversion kit. Occasional FTE though. That’s why I ordered the Bore buddy kit to hopefully eliminate any FTE.

If accuracy beyond 35 yds give or take is not your concern purchase both. 1:7 twist compared to 1:16 thats they key for tight groups. I’m sure you have already read this.

That’s a very good deal for the Bravo! CMMG site is $230

No buying/selling on the forums. PSA rules.

I don’t think that’s what it was, not intentionally.

Sounded like @Reaper was gifting them to me and I in turn asked if he needed anything @GuitarGuy

sry @GuitarGuy

you are right @Jammo
