Ar-15 build

I’ve built 3 of PSA kits and I absolutely have no complaints! I know it’s a good investment and the value will continue to go up like it has been.

Similar sitrep here, although I now have four builds on the PSA lowers.
First was the generic multi for a HBAR custom 7.62x39 carbine.
Second was a M16A2 HBAR clone on the PSA M16A2 specific lower.
Third was a M16A4 clone with mid-length gas system & A4 stock on the PSA M16A4 specific lower.
Most recent was a 20" HBAR custom Grendel on the PSA American Flag lower attached to an ACE ARFX buttstock. I have A2 & A4 USGI style sights on the two custom builds & traditional iron sights on the USGI builds.

I really like the heavy barrels for tighter groups shot at static targets from a bench.
I do have some light barrels that shoot well for the first four or five shots.
They might perform better on moving targets.

Love the old-school look and carry handle upper.

Very nice work of art you made!

Very nice

Every M4 i own has one and even a few without the FSP lol

well i have a question more about specifics on my build. I am building a .458Socom and wonder since i can only have a 16" or longer barrel and i hear the 458 will reach out a few hundred or more yards easily. So would it be worth considering even an 18" barrel and set it up with a mid length or even a rifle length gas system and buffer assembly or should i keep it in a 14" to 16" configuration? All i need to finish this build is the barrel at the moment so? My next is a Radical arms while the 458 is all Aero!

Can I put an A2 stock on a lower and use a mid length upper?

Sure, the only time it really matters mixing uppers and lowers is if the barrel is shorter than 16". Then you get into the realm of pistol/sbr. Just make sure you get all the A2 parts for the stock assembly. If you use a carbine buffer and spring in an A2 tube it wont work right.

Sweet man thanks

I dunno why but I always thought the rifle length buffer had to go with the rifle length upper

Not a problem. And nope, as long as the buffer assembly matches the tube correctly, and its the right weight for the caliber, it should work fine.

There are exceptions, some calibers work better with different weight buffers, and some gas system lengths will too. I’m sure someone will come along soon with why I’m wrong and the technical specifications on how this caliber will function better with this weight and that caliber wont work with this. You know, thats how the internet works

Itll be 556, I’ve never used an a2 stock assembly before. Hope I like it. Will I need to tune the buffer weight at all you think?

You shouldn’t have to.

Hey does psa do black Friday stuff? Also I seen a blem classic 16" mid length upper available, How long these normally stick around?

Yes, Black Friday sales are definitely a thing here. We have been working on it for a little bit now.

As far as a product sticking around in stock, there is no telling. It could be anywhere from minutes to days to weeks. It just depends on how many we have and how popular it is. A lot of our blem stuff doesnt stay long. Most people know that its just cosmetic, and normally little knicks or light scratches. And if you dont want a safe queen, they are great deals usually.

Sweet I’ll pry just jump on the upper now. Theres actually 2 I’m confused about. 1 is without bcg & ch for 299.99, and 1 is with bcg & ch for 279.99. Is this correct? Def want one with, can you help me out man?

you’re right. Odd sale, but it works to your advantage.

Could someone direct me to a good carry handle sight?

Here is the link to ours. Its currently out of stock on the website though. I’m not sure when we will have more available. Could be this afternoon, could be weeks from now. Wish I could help more on that part.
