AR-57, anyone have one?

I came across the newer release of the AR-57 with the FN magazine. Does anyone have one? Any thoughts? I’m intrigued, but I see a couple reviews where people are having some issues.

purchased this one a few weeks ago. So far150 AAC rounds through it. One FTF issue, and I think that was not pulling the BCG back far enough for the first round.

I did modify a mag to catch the brass and it holds 50 empty’s.

So far so good.

I did change out the chinesium optic for a better one. Was all I had for the first trip to the range.

I really wannt the AR57 upper… but i am just not willing to crap out 600.00 for an upper. its just too rich for me for oneupper when i can buy a Rock, or a ruger carbine or pistol or even the keltec pistol for about that price.

Can you get a shorter barrel are cut that one down? I love the looks of the fn magazine over a standard ar magazine, so that’s the upper I want. Hope I’m making sense.

want to see if it will go Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr?
i was looking at them for that reason.

It will. Bolt mod if you have the FA lower.

That is a great looking rifle. I have been wanting a 5.7 but since I already have 25 different calibers I am seriously trying not to get anymore that I have to buy ammo for. Exact same senario with the 6.5.

yes i do.

You’ll have to reach out to them if they’re making it again, I’m not sure.

I did buy the panzer arms ar57 last month and cut the top off of a 5.56 magazine to use to catch the brass after shooting it. Still haven’t made it out to shoot yet. I have the one mag that came with it, with ss195 27grn hollow points.

beautiful. i still want one… i just hate the price… and cant justify buying one upper at that price yet.

I have one and love it I have the UTL version One thing I do suggest that you do purchase is this Monstrum Tactical Low Profile Picatinny Riser Mount with Quick Release, for Red Dots, Scopes, and Optics (0.5 inch H x 2.5 inch L) along with an m-lock 4 slot picatinny rail. Mounted on the left side at The 9:00 position. It will act as a channel for the notched end of the magazine allowing quicker changeouts. It works perfectly.
