Mine was pretty stiff, i oiled it when i got it.

Like others, mine was nearly impossible to release the bolt. Beveled rubber faucet washer (Lowes, plumbing section) and 8-32 screw.

Looks like a neat idea - might require a bit of sculpting, but I can envision it.

I added a color-matched M4 x 0.7 x 6 mm screw to increase leverage on the bolt catch.
So far, it has been working well.

Anyone try to use a lever from one of the various 3-piece AR safety levers out there to replace or augment the bolt catch?

If you can find one that mates to a screw that might work.

Is this the same length as our ARV slide release button? Referring to the Mossberg extended slide button.

Very neat thread guys ! The bolt thread info is very helpful im hoping to get my bolt release working finally overally a very nice PCC!

FWIW, I modified mine similar to that shown by GuitarGuy. After about 600 rounds I removed the mod and, apparently, this break-in period smoothed the parts and the bolt catch was easy to manipulate. Break-in could have happened with much less through the gun, but I never checked.

Are you still having issues ? mine is terrible. If I adjust the stock or bump the gun the bolt slams forward.

Will it release easily without a magazine in it?

Questions to those who modified their bolt release…is there still the same “stiffness” with a new longer screw after the modification?

Mine is not as stiff now, but i have used mine alot and it has loosened up.

I see in this post there is 2 different thread pitches mentioned, one metric and one SAE. has anyone discovered which of the 2 is correct ?

8-32 is the correct thread pitch.

What would it take to get you to mail me one of those spacers do you happen to have an extra one it ls like the perfect size

Seeing you asking him and me looking at his post brings this to mind.

If not for you, others may benefit from this.

They are for attaching your QD sling swivel to a rifle that doesnt have the QD holes. If it doesn’t work, you can return it or use it for it’s intended purpose. They’re cheap at under 10 bucks.

Boom problem solved. MAG333 QD mount kit and an #8-32 3/8" stainless steel allen head screw. Its still a little too long but used the nut that came in the package (the screws that the QD comes with are too big) and tightened her down. Works perfectly. I can release the bolt with one finger now. Highly recommend it. Let me know if you get one and how you like it.
