Howdy all, I’m looking for an enclosed red/green dot (preferably with a ring) that I can direct mount to the rock and pebble.
I’m not a pistol optic guy, and I haven’t had great luck with them, so if anyone has any recommendations, I’m all ears.
I think you’re going to struggle finding one light enough to not cause cycling problems.
Iirc the rock is a direct mount shield cut (also called rmsc).
That is the Holoson 407k/507k/EPS/EPS carry line of optics if you want an auto on/shake awake type feature. Figure out which one works for you and the lighter the better.

Why would you get a compact firearm and put a big ole enclosed optic on it?

Rumor has it, Olight will be releasing one in the next week or so. rmsc enclosed optic.
Olight lights have a history of catching on fire. If the sight is rechargeable, thats a hard no from me.

I have a rechargeable Olight. Hasn’t given me a lick of trouble.

Granted, knock on wood, but it has been GTG. Full transparency; I didn’t pay anything for it. Friend found it on a construction site and is not a gun guy.

Both the EPS carry and 509T have been solid thus far, with the EPS carry being a direct fit for the rock. Never really had a problem with occlusion in the rmr/rmrcc or similar, but it could be an issue. Do be aware that an enclosed emitter will not be as water resistant as an rmr with a sealing plate due to pressure differential reasons, though this doesn’t matter to me as I am not waterproof to 20m lol.
Thought that EPS carry was a different footprint?
