Binary trigger discussion. Love, hate, meh, don’t know much,
Fun, but ultimately just waste ammo.
I think they are a gimmick to be honest.
@AndrewT84 the only good thing I like is that they thumb their nose at AFT regulation. Regulation is the birthplace of innovation.
Is that like Bruce Jenner, but for guns?

Oh absolutely. Sure they are fun and will make anyone smile but for me personally to own one, I can’t justify the price and practicality of it. And especially during these ammo times, I’m perfectly fine with my local DNR range having a 3 second rule

I have a Fostec Echo II in 2 of my AR and a Fostec AK trigger in one of my AK. They are fun. I don’t use them that often but if I need them or want to use them they are there. I second @GuitarGuy in that the ATF /gun grabbers really don’t like them at all and it causes some people to hyperventilate.
I want one for one of my s+w ar1522s just for the fun factor, but I can’t see it in a 556 ar or Akm unless you build it heavy duty enough for consistent mag/drum dumps. But if your team needs one…
This tank is built from a Yugo M72B1 RPK with Heavy Finned Barrel and a heavy duty 1.5mil receiver with reinforcement ridges. RPK were made to be a squad light machine gun. Since she was designed for sustained full auto she is more than heavy enough for some suppressed binary action. The heavy finned barrel is designed to help rapidly cool the barrel.
Not sure how I feel about it. Maybe I gotta try it once. The thought of using an extra round every release is t exactly awesome or practical to me.
They’re fun, and can be smoother than some stock triggers. As far as wasting ammo, yeah, they certainly can. If that’s an issue, put it on semi. They are quite useful for hog control.
They’re a lot of fun and a heck of a lot cheaper than purchasing a machine gun.
I think two things about this:
1 - If you want one, I’ll back you. We should ALL back EVERY pro-2A position.
2 - For practicality - seems it would make for a real fast and accurate “double tap” method.
And besides, you can always set it to semi auto, right?
Exactly.
Ammunition Manufacturers….love it.
Ammunition Retailers……………love it.
It’s overly expensive to buy, overly expensive to use.
More spray-n-pray……less accurate fire.
It’s more of a novelty than a benefit.
Can easily bring YOU….the UNWANTED Attention of local or Federal authorities.
Are there any benefits to it ? REAL operators….Police, Military, amateur & professional competitors don’t use them.
I’m all about 2A rights, but I’m also about being smart about it. To me, this is poking the bear, just like bump stocks did and arm braces do. It’s giving them an excuse to write up a decision letter that may impact other things in addition to the “offending” item.
Any time you purchase something that is pushing the limits of the NFA (not that I am remotely a fan of the NFA), it opens the door. You can’t then fuss when they slam it shut, because they can. We can only hope they don’t and pray it doesn’t then affect other things like legit semi-autos and legal SBRs.
We have some of the most(ly) reasonable gun laws in the world. We can legally own (at our home) some very effective and fun tools that most people would only dream of. I don’t want to be the one who pokes that bear one too many times and gives the haters the excuse they need to do another Clinton ban or something like that.
I had an FRT, loved shooting it but was expensive to run and had no practical application. Sold it for a huge profit. I loved that it was a big ■■■■ you to the ATF, but at the end of the day they will do all they can to ■■■■ you over and I have bigger priorities than dealing with the ATF.
