I didn’t get mine at FF, and I surely didn’t pay $50! I think mine was $32. Is it a good knife? No idea. It exceeds my daily needs.
On the topic of Cold Steel, their Kudu Lite makes a very good letter opener.

i’m with you there. on both accounts.
while i have some larger knives, (buck, SOG, Kbar, OKC etc) i’m relatively a n00b when it comes to pocket knives and largely i do not carry a knife on a regular basis with my EDC gun. I think i should remedy this, but i really wouldnt know where to start. I do know i like autofolders/retractors/extenders, but i know nothing else other than some get quite pricy…
PSA knifes would be cool as i wo uld buy just cause of the PSA production, but i do not forsee that being a reality anytime soon if ever.
I seem to be favoring what I think is called a “kanto” style blade. I think that’s the shape that resembles a pairing knife & a utility knife. I can‘t seem to find an affordable blade like that, though. With something like knives, I would decant to start with the less expensive options to test & see if it is the kind that I would like to upgrade to at a later time.

On a more serious note, I do like how the pocket clip is at the opposite end of the blade swiveling point.
Right now I have a Civivi Lume clipped in my right front jeans pocket.
I have a Sog Seal Pup fixed blade that I like alot. Its sharp and has stayed sharp, cuts through tons of stuff, no knicks, pretty well balanced, has a nice sheath. Sorry dont have any pics nor do I edc it, but its a pretty good knife id say. Has done well with whatever I had planned for it. Post some pics later.
The crkt ceo is perfect for me…it has a nice slim profile so it doesn’t take up too much room in my pocket…I really like the deep conceal clip…when it’s clipped in your pocket, all you can see is basically the top of the clip…the blade has a great all around design and it holds a nice edge…all for under $50…perfect edc blade in my opinion
