This is a good place to post/discuss your EDC loadout.
I recently switched from a 1911 to an FN 509. Spyderco Para3 with a LynchNW deep conceal clip.

Nice CZ @Space_Coyote !
Who makes that knife? It looks sweet.
Got it from a company called knives ranch
Nice! I like that a lot. I’m a sucker for Damascus knives.
43X MOS Swampfox Sentinel w/ S-15 magazine and Stealth Guard appendix holster, Olight Baton 3, and Harbor Freight knife (Yes it is cheap, but works). Of course keys and slim wallet also.
@nosshane that is screaming “sbr me”.
I’m a simple man. This is all I carry. I can borrow a knife or multitool from yall if i need one. Or I’ll just use my teeth like a sexual tyrannosaurus.
And I half expected it to be made of gold…
I feel like the bayoneted grocery shopping shotgun is a vastly underrated category…
Which holster do you for that 509?
I’m a fan of the Shield.
How’s that 1.0 holding up? Are you tempted by the Shield Plus?
I’m a big fan of the Shield, like you. It is a perfect concealed carry for me and I had a great deal, that just made sense and I couldn’t say no to ($210 brand new from PSA after a $50 manufacturer’s rebate). I have pretty bad arthritis in my hands, but operating it is still a breeze for the most part, nice grouping too, and I hadn’t had a malfunction yet.
I wish I could get a Plus, but there are higher priorities before I get another handgun, such as a Home Defense Shotgun and an AR-15 (in that order) which will have to fit into my unfortunately but seriously small budget first.
After that, I would want to diversify and probably get a Glock 17 or similar category. I’m not biased by any Manufacturers (or maybe a little, it will definitely not be a Taurus) but the deal have to make good economic sense and I will have to do some research considering my condition.
Here’s a quick pic of what I’m carrying today, which is what I categorize as “Spring/Fall Heavy”, meaning it is concealed with a non-jacket/coat single layer, but is a more robust loadout as far as belt, tools, light, weapon size, caliber, and reloads.
Medium-weight wallet
Nebo light
Gerber straight razer style blade
Leather tool holster
Gerber multitool
Sheffield beater blade, with glass breaker and webbing edge
M&P Shield 45
Aliengear IWB holster (small of back works best for me)
12 .45 reload rounds
Nexbelt EDC belt
Spring/Fall Light has much less.
Winter I use a shoulder holster.
Summer is a different setup entirely.
