Carry a suppressed Rock?

A bit of an experiment! Rock 5.7 with Bowers Bitty can. Have not shot it with the Bitty yet and I’m not expecting more than a few dB reduction. Will likely just take the edge off the blast. Conceals fine with IWB Nerd holster and works for concealed (big Hawaiian shirt) or open carry with their OWB holster.

Tom Bowers is very interested in how it sounds on the Rock. I don’t have a meter, but I’ll do video.

I’ll shoot it soon and report back here.

Photo of Bitty with 9mm for scale. It’s tiny!

Is it user servicable?

It is.

There are “free” dB level meter Apps for Android and iOS, just FYI. Obviously not as accurate as a Dedicated meter, but should work in a pinch.

I have an iPhone app for that, but it maxes out at 130dB. Won’t be high enough sadly.

I hope you have better luck than I had with ‘5.7 rated’ 22 cans.

I had no interest in the Rock until seeing this :joy:

Looks like a Hollywood silencer you see in the movies .

I bet it’s Silent but Deadliest…. So Quiet - it Sucks all the Sound out of the room every time it’s fired!

According to Tom Bowers, it should handle 5.7 just fine. We have a Silencerco Spectre II that is “5.7 rated” that runs nicely on the Rock, with about 25 rounds through it as a test. Going to try a Silencerco Omega 9K as well since we use it on our P90. Just for yucks, we have a Cadiz Econo-Can in .22 that might be interesting. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Use it as a Comparator - set the phone far enough you get a scaled reading unsuppressed, then add suppression….

Great idea. Will try that.

Guess I’m gonna need taller suppressor sights and a bigger holster!

Not a lot of guys have seen these. Cadiz still makes this version:

Since we’re an FFL/SOT we have a lot of weird & wacky projects that no sane person would do. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Motorcraft? Pfft !

MOPAR OR NO CAR BABY!

IIRC Motorcraft Filters are made for Ford, by Wix. Very high quality, at a very good price point, I used the Motorcraft on my Mopar V8s and Slant Six pickup.

Mopar oil filters are made by WIX.

I avoid Dodges. They make good engines, but they couldn’t make a good transmission even if you put a gun to their head…
