Charging handle fell out

Anyone had the charging handle fall out? Shot JAKL for the first time today - ran flawlessly by the way.

Went to put in my range bag and happened to notice the charging handle was missing. Fortunately I was able to find it…

Anyone else have this issue?

The handle has to be pulled back to the bigger opening on the slide “rail” for it to come off, but it can’t be pulled back that far without removing the main recoil spring. My guess is that you may have opened it to clean and not notice the plate coming back too far (??). I pulled my hair for an hour or two trying to get that plate back in and the handle to stay – I know it’s in the directions, now

Let us know what you find out! I’ll be shooting mine for the 1st time Real Soon Now…

I am befuddled by it too…

Prior to shooting I manipulated the charging handle MANY times.

While shooting is what was MULTIPLE times after reloads, etc. especially since I was messing with the gas system so rounds would not always eject or bolt lock back.

Then all of a sudden the part was gone.

I will mess around with it more. MAYBE it is possible to installed and function with the charging handle incorrectly installed …

I had some issues manipulating the charging handle, especially if I interfered with the bolt going forward. A cartridge would get caught and I couldn’t dislodge it unless I pulled the takedown pin to remove it. While removing the bolt, the charging sled would move back too far causing the handle to fall out. Greasing up the charging sled helped a lot because there’s a sticking point in its movement! It may not help with your situation because it’s non-reciprocating, but it does help when using the CH.

Hope this makes a little sense - a lot of words to describe a little thing!

If you have an older unit your charging slide might be broken.
The older versions have a slightly thinner cut out of material.
If its your first time shooting it and you have sat on it for a while.
You know how we Netflix and chill.

If this is the case PSA will send you a new one they were very fast to act on this problem early on. Same with the gas regulator retaining detent.

GOD BLESS BROTHER
