Closet Storage

Can I see some closet storage ideas?

Not talking full on safes, but semi secure quick access type of stuff?

I’ve seen stuff like that…won’t work.

More specifically, I need storage for at least 6 long guns with optics.

Should have mentioned that from the get go…

I actually kinda like this one - a bit of masking tape and the same paint as your closet - it might be quite “out of sight, out of mind” to the “casual” thief.

I have a couple similar to this one strategically placed.

Not “pro thief” proof - but then again, neither are the $3k-$5k safes Bass Pro sells.

It can easily be made as permanently-affixed to the building as any big-an’-heavy, so the thief’s gotta open it up there.

OK, after doing a bit more investigation - while I liked the idea of that first suggestion I gave, due to inconsistent posted dimensions (and some reality-check type reviews) it seems it is not what I thought it to be at first. I apologize for that suggestion, it’s not fit for long gun storage.

I still stand by the second suggestion, however. Spreading these through different closets throughout the house and securing them above and beyond their instructions and cheap supplied mounting hardware, I believe to be a viable storage option.

I sealed all the seams with RTV, and then weatherstripped the door. It’s not perfect tight, but a couple of those rechargeable dehumidifiers and light film of Barricade helps keep the rustworms at bay.

Of course, what has worked for myself may be wholly-inapplicable to you or your situation.

Man i love that under stairs closet. thats awesome. I saw one guy who put gun safes in a small walk in closet, then put a dead bolt lock in place of the door knob to open the closet. so it was its own gun cabinet in itself. it seemed to work well enough. and lets face it, you’re only gonna keep out honest people with safes and cabinets and door locks anyways…

That’s probably one of the coolest storage ideas I’ve seen… What thief is gonna look under the stairs?! Haha.

I just use an extra closet we had. I installed a key lock to keep the honest people out. Not real secure, but then again nothing is if someone is determined enough. A plus is the wire shelves make great pistol racks.

Nice

Magnetic strip for the pistol mags?

Yes they are magnetic strips. The are for kitchen knives but work great for unloaded mags. Not strong enough for loaded ones.

These are surprisingly powerful, for chinesium.

John Wick’s closet?

Looks more like a Kingsman style,

I haven’t gotten around to seeing those. Do they have bullet resistant suits too?

yeah the closet door thing i’ve done too, with a dead bolt in it… its a walk in closet though, so i put two steel sentry gun cabinets in it, on a raised bolted in platform that then bolted the cabinents to, and put a dead bolt on the closet door. this way i can store my empty boxes and bags on the closet shelfs, and the firearms in the steel firearm keyed cabinets, and ammo below them under the platform. it keeps the guns in under 2 sets of keys, one for the outer door, and 1 for each steel cabinet. better than nothing… this is of course in addition to the regular safes that are in the outer room as well. so yeah, it works for extra run off on guns.
