Finally made my choice and ordered this. Reason being is accuracy, after market support with 25 round mags and the old school style. Looks like my rifle from my teens but with a scope. Rather than convert what I had and gum it up with dirty ammo, I’ll plink all day with this.

I know I’m getting in late on the conversation here. I have the same kit. Someone mentioned how dirty .22 lr is. That’s very true. If you look at the CMMG site, they recommend 36gr copper. All I use is the CCI 36gr CPHP mini-mags. They do seem to burn a little cleaner. I also got the charging handle that CMMG makes specifically for that kit. Many people don’t find that necessary. I didn’t want to take any chances with such a small round.

I’ve had nothing but good luck with my cmmg conv kit. I stick with CCI mini mags or equivalent ammo.
Great for winter time indoor range drills with actual AR and sighting system I already have. Pull up and rip off double taps getting ready for 3-Gun season…

I went with the BCA complete upper and it works great!
So far it feeds everything.
I put it on a PSA AT15 5.56 lower with no modifications or alterations.

My son broke the charging handle maybe a few hundred rounds in. Didn’t replace it.

I have 2 cmmg bravo kits and picked up 2 more mags so 4 mags for each kit.
My use is teaching wepon manipulation drills or personal practice. I’m inside a 50 yard max and the POI to POA off set matches 5.56 close enough to reinfoce close range hold overs. I run a bore snake then switch back to 5.56/.223 to blow out crud and get some full recoil for controlled pairs.
Ive been consistent with lubing the CMMG’s BCG before switching calibers and doing a full BCG wipedown after removal. At the moment I do not recall any hickups or fail to eject/extract. I did over cycle the trigger and cause a failure to fire but was working on hammering a target or 3, running supressing fire type drills.
One of my pluses is my 5 shot + mag change is at or sub 4 seconds from a 5.56 timed course of fire working an NRA certification. I do alot of dry fire on the move with mag changes too plus live fire with .22 conversion.
For me running a belt or full kit and the gun in .22 has boosted all my basics to unconcious functions. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. AKA great shooters are masters of fundamentals. Blowing 200-400 at a range trip in 5.56, one to two times a month is not in my budget. Doing that with .22 is.

This keeps my optic set for 5.56/.223 and I do fist high holdovers. Ive not seen any keyhole impacts on paper.

I think I ran a 525 round box of Winchester 36gr hp through it when I got the 1st one. Not 100% sure as it might have bern one of the 555 count boxes.
I’ve run a dozen plus boxes of federal 40 gr, 325round Automatch, Wal-Mart cheep stuff, no issues.
This has worked in 4 PSA uppers.
I tried one box of 100 Winchester I think it 36 gr HP… mine didn’t like it at all.

The CMMG conversation kits are awesome. There is also a cmmg reliability kit that comes with a plug to add extra resistance by the buffer spring.
