Colored Firearms Discussion

We all have views regarding whether firearms should be black/FDE/Green vs. various pastels or whatnot and safety considerations. Let’s discuss it here.

great idea.

i think theres a time and place for just about everything. however most of my firearms will stick to the FDE black, green, grey, stainless, and sometimes even arctic white.

I’m a big fan of the $100 print that you see on Hi-Points. Really anything meme related because it makes some people so upset

This and Plum.

If not, leave now:rofl: :point_right:

JK, sorta. Lol. No sooner I’m about to click reply and I’m remembering the Purple camouflage AR in the safe. Oops…

I agree.

It does make some people upset. I’m some people . IDK why I hate those?

i like bright and shiny, lots of colors, minimalist, with a touch of awesomeness

Similar thought process…I love the Chiquita style magazines. I need my banana clips lol

Not mine but if I saw this for sale I would have to buy it

Actually that’s pretty hilarious. High point is the cheapest of the firearms. And Colt 45 is the cheapest of the beer. It’s a match made in heaven

Half of my guns are probably wood furniture. I have one that was supposed to be black but has a plumish hue to it. I scratched my head when I first saw it but now I like it.

This topic got me thinking…has PSA ever sold any other color AR15 lowers besides black?

Yes. They used to have cerakote lowers (such as gold and tiger stripe). The Lead Star Arms line (sister company to PSA) sells many colors, mostly blue and red anondized. The new Sabre line has a specialty cerakote each month. H&R (another sister company) has gray anodizing.

@GamecockOperator can probably fill in with colors I have missed.

Squirrel brain here…as soon as I read gold and tiger stripe I immediately thought of the gaudy Desert Eagles. And now I want a matching set of from PSA lol.

I didn’t realize Lead Star Arms was a sister company to PSA. I’ll have to dive down that rabbit hole later along with the specilty ones from the Sabre line. I’m assuming it is similar to the builder sets from Aero Precision?

Yes, upper, lower, rail.

no i didnt mean to leave plum out. i actually love it. PSA has a beautiful high gloss Plum set as well you should check it out if you havent yet.

love it… especially since they chose a hi-point to be the colt 45 gun lol

is it really the cheapest of the beer? i thought Pabst was.

i dont think half mine do, but it is a good number. especilly if we are including on the caount older ones, that arent polymer. like the 1911 grips for instance.

yes, if you look in the definitive lower thread you’d see a good numerous amount of uppers and lowers that were sold by them in different colors… i’ve been contractually lax with you, as i need to get out there and get them . that of course doesnt include the FDE solid lowers that theyve made, or the other lowers theyve made of different colors.

i built a gold gun of thier lowers…

this set was sold as Upper Lower and buffer tube… no rail sadly.

I like colors. This is far from a family photo, but color coordination keeps things safer IMO.

yeah color coorination on your mags makes sense to me… i just dont have enough colors to do that with mine… either way… thats a beautiful photo brother.

I’m in the “Black Guns Matter” camp. I can see FDE and Green and SS wheel guns, but blue pink and purple guns… well, I guess we all gotta march to the beat of our own drums. But I draw the line at 2 tone guns. Just can’t do it, doesn’t look right to me. Makes my OCD go into full tilt.
