I recently bought a compact dagger and overall am really impressed! The only issue is it won’t cycle with suppressor - the spent case is not extracted. I have several hundred rounds through it so I believe it is broken in. I am mounting a Liberty Cosmic. With the piston, it weighs about 14 oz. I’ve tried 115, 124, and 147 cartridges, but none cycle. I’ve tried lots of lube on the piston, but it does not make a difference. I’ve tried lower power (down to 14 lbs.) G19 springs from Wolff, but no change. This can works fine on my G17 and other full size pistols. Has anyone successfully suppressed their compact dagger, or had similar issues? I’m begining to think that is just too heavy for this compact pistol.

have you tried higher power, heavier spring, guide rod… like a 22lb
@mattbbb14 might can help. I have no issues with my obsidian 9 on mine using all kinds of ammo.
Make sure you arnt limp wristing it, as that will cause cycling issues with a platform such as a glock, dagger, and clones.

It cycles without the suppressor?
Just looking at the Liberty website. It has the Cosmic listed as a 45 ACP/10mm Suppressor?
I have only tried lighter springs. Everything I’ve read says the weight of the suppressor (and piston) reduce the recoil on a tilting-barrel pistol. The opposite happens with a fixed barrel straight blowback , like a .22. I had to add heavier springs to get my Ruger 22/45 Lite to cycle properly with a suppressor. However, a heavier spring is the only thing I haven’t tried.

Flawlessly! LIke I said, overall am really impressed with the dagger.
The Cosmic is multi caliber. It handles almost anything. I purchased it to minimize the amount of NFA wait and cost. I use it for 9, 40, and 45 pistols. Looking at the obsidian 9 specs, it seems to be a lot lighter than the Cosmic. How heavy is yours with the piston? (I may need to add a dedicated 9mm suppressor to my fleed)
try the heavy spring 22lb
yep, that’s the problem with one-size-fits-all, sometimes you find that one size that just doesn’t fit. As you said, a heavier spring might just do the trick without causing trouble when you fire the pistol unsuppressed.
I tried heavier recoil springs. Success! The 20# and 22# Wolff springs work with and without the suppressor.

Have you tried any lower than the 14#?
Most people on the Strike Industries Comp have to go with the 13# … I had failure to eject on the stock 18#, so I tried a 15#… I still had a few FTE with that, so tried a 13#. With the 13#, I had no more FTE, but had failure to go back into full battery. So my next experiment will be to trim a 15# spring a coil at a time until I get to around 14#…
TLDR: keep dropping in spring weight until the FTE stops… If you get failure to go into full battery, you have gone too far, find something in the middle…
Just tried my new 9mm can on my 2 daggers. One ( factory optic slide with TB) ran fine with 115gn and the other ( frame and slide and barrel build) had issues with feed etc. when can was on it but fine without.
Ran some winchester super suppressed 147 ,in both . again similar results .
Put the same can on my rock expecting cycling issues and it was perfect with the 407 optic on it. Suppressed and regular 5.7 both…
Just ordered some new recoil springs now for the dagger!

Hi jh230022 I ran into the exact same issue yesterday at the range with my compact and full size dagger I looked at the Wolff springs did you order the 50222 GLOCK 19,23,32 RECOIL GUIDE & SPRING COMB 22Lb?
Iraq veteran has noted that suppressors on Glock’s are “finicky”. He attribute’s it to the geometry of their barrels/slide and this is a parts swap Glock clone. Here is the link to the video, his suppressor comments are at 3:40

just built my first dagger. test fired with suppressor due to neighbors and had the same issue with it not cycling/extracting the round. removed the suppressor thinking maybe that was the issue and it had the same issue still. i’ll update again once i’ve taken it to the range to actually do a 100rnd break-in on it. really hoping i won’t have to play musical springs with it because i went with the dagger due to cost savings. if i have to put more money into changing springs and such it’ll kinda eliminate the whole point of getting it.
Always try different ammo first. Try an actual glock mag also and not the pmag
