Consensus on full size Dagger?

Yeah

Ok

Having broken my wrist in college playing hockey, i cant stand the glock grip angle. I carried a 1911 for years because Glocks hurt. The palm swell of the dagger is a welcome change for me

A Dagger S is a Glock 45 with a grip that feels better to me, it’s steel sights are better than Glock’s plastic sights, and the trigger feels better to me than a Glock trigger with a dingus in the center. Mechanically, it is a Gen 3 Glock.

I have a lot of full size guns, and the Dagger is their equal in all areas, for a lot less money.

The thing is the hump does nothing to help the gun, and in reality it makes it uglier than if it had a straight grip. That’s really the gist of it. When you buy 1911’s do you buy them with flat mainspring housings, or humped ones? Do you think Magpul should make the Moe grip have a big ole hump on it? Does anyone find the P80’s flat/straight/1911 like grip to be offensive? The hump does not make me dislike the Dagger, but it would be better without it. I can shoot a Glock fine, but the reality is I dislike its grip hump, just like I dislike its trigger safety protruding, and just like I dislike grip safeties that use speed bumps. I can use these things, but prefer not to have them.

I agree with your points. The fact that the hump becomes so thin, it creates a hotspot in the palm. If it were wider it wouldn’t be such an issue for me. Don’t get me wrong, I like daggers. Just painful in that hump area for me.

I listened to the audible version of “Glock” the rise of america’s gun and it was very interesting to know how Gaston was kind of a perfectionist, narcissist man. That was his own deal but he really didn’t like American consumers and how they criticized certain models (G20 and G22)

I have the compact in FDE, full size in ODG and full size S in black. Love 'em all (plus my Glock 19 gen 5). Thus, my consensus is “go for it”. Medium sized hands here. The only handgun I felt was too big was my M9. 1911, P226, M&P, Hi Power all felt fine.

Does Glock make a 2.5lb spring or thats going to be aftermarket?
Any recommendations?
Slide release is def one of the problems ive heard the most about when it comes to the Dagger.
Ill go ahead and pick up a glock brand extended mag release and spring.
Might as well change those out when i do the trigger.

Full-size pistols can offer better accuracy and control due to their larger frame and longer barrel. They’re great if you’re looking for something more stable and comfortable to shoot. It really depends on what feels right for you and what kind of shooting you plan to do.

I bought mine from Centennial Defense Systems. Put one in every Dagger I own. Left the stock mag release alone, though. I didn’t feel that I needed an extended mag release after swapping the release spring.
