Constructive Feedback

Hey PSA and fellow users,
Just have a little feedback I’d like to throw out, I’m very surprised that PSA chose to start a forum of their own.

I realize that Customer Support has had a hard time dealing with customers, it’s pretty much plastered all over the Internet.

But it is nice to see Palmetto State Armory putting in some effort instead of just ignoring the customer, that is nice to see. I sincerely hope that you have some good moderators and administrators in mind to police the forums as you need to do so when running a forum. I also hope that you would look at dedicating a Customer Support Representative to watch the forums as well which might help your track record as I’ve never had problems but it’s not 100% as I’ve heard some horror stories from friends past experiences.

Overall Good Start PSA!

Welcome @nightstryke ! At this time there is not going to be a customer service section of the forums. Thanks!

Welcome @nightstryke !!

The main focus of this forum is to provide content and answer questions about PSA and non-psa products, while providing a platform for firearms enthusiast to gather and talk. If a customer has an issue, we will do our best to steer them in the right direction so that our Customer Service Department can take care of them.

Good to know, as I said earlier it’s just constructive feedback, do with it what you will.

I definitely think there should be a support section. Haven’t been impressed with customer service so far.

That could be something we explore down the road, but for now it is best if you go through the appropriate channels.

How do you post? What is an “Embedded product photo”? Why not have a button just says “post”. There is only “reply”. Does this mean that you are replying to a previous post? How do you post on a topic without it being a reply to someone else? Why have different rules for new posters or members? Why not just allow all people to post freely and equally as long as they are not abusive or offensive?

Hey! Thanks for joining @eclipps1 !

There is a new topic button at the top of each category and a reply button on each of the topics. The reply is to the topic but there is a the ability to reply to the individual on any given topic.

Everyone is welcome to post anywhere they want to, there is not differing rules for people.

Many (but not all) of the problems that you’ve read about on other forums are posted by “gun snobs” who have never touched a PSA product and are just put off with them because they make budget friendly firearms that work. They always quote the old “buy once, cry once” and “you get what you pay for” adages, both of which I feel are BS. I’ve been very happy with the many PSA products I’ve owned and in the couple of cases where I’ve had a problem, they’ve been quick to resolve it. Not everyone can afford to buy a $1500+ AR and PSA is able to put a quality piece in those people’s hands.

@terrygentry87 While we are by no means perfect, you have spoken many truths! We appreciate your business.

In my early days of reloading I loaded a squib that ruined a barrel. I reached out to customer service and said “I’m stupid, I wrecked a perfectly good barrel, 100% my fault, can I buy another one?” They said “send it in”, I did and PSA rebarreled it, paid for shipping, both ways and didn’t charge me a cent!! I’m GOOD with PSA customer service!!

And, ladies and gentlemen, that is how you gain a customer for life. Other manufacturers are very unlikely to give that kind of above and beyond service.

Not just me, I got my brother and cousin started too.

@Josiah_PSA and @sean.psa one thing on the PSA store website that has always annoyed me is that you are limited to only looking at a max of 25 items per page. Most websites give you the option to choose more then 25 items per page up to all the items in that category on one page. Is there anyway to change this on the PSA store website? It takes up unnecessary time having to keep going to another page to look at items. This may seem a little petty but when you spend time looking for parts or just shopping on the PSA website it really does take a lot more of your time.

Thats great input. Let me see what I can do.

At one point we had implemented infinite scrolling but it wasn’t well received. Giving users the control over it should be a good solution.

Thank you for checking. I have always loved the fact that you guys at PSA are so good at thinking outside the box. The innovations and products that PSA has come up with in the time that you have been in business to me really is amazing. I largely credit PSA for really being at the forefront of making AR building so popular today.

I’m surprised. I’ve found their customer support to be great!

Considering how aggravating this second contest has been for you guys, if there a next time for this type drawing would it be possible for some way to keep people from using the same number? I didn’t know if it was possible to use the forum’s software or not to set something like that up. A lot of people are having problems getting a number that hasn’t already been used now that we are in the higher number of posts. For those of us that posted early it shouldn’t really have been an issue. As the posts get even higher it will really be a pain in the butt for someone to go through all the posts and then be able to pick a number out. We really appreciate the contest. Just trying to think of a way to make it more convenient for the forum moderators and forum members. I have seen this type of contest done before with the numbers already listed and people then put their user name next to a number claiming that number.

There are 459 responses out of 2500 available numbers. Given the original post, along with my subsequent posts, and the fact 1776 has been chosen 15-20 times, that means there are still close to 2050+ numbers available. It’s not a matter of numbers, it all comes down to reading. If it were me, I would use the “find in page” option that is built into browsers to find a number not already taken.

Well for some of us when we get over 10 we have to take our boots off to keep counting. Where is Jethro Bodine when you need him.
