Post up maybe in your other thread mid-process?
well since theres no beginning then you can start a post with it in its current state and go from there? at least we’ll have the interesting parts to see still ![]()
I never remember to take photos either… its just how i am i guess. oh well. i’ll try to do better when i start on a project next time. until then, we’ll watch you with yours!
I also have chronic fatigue so everything associated with it can derail even your best intentions. You definitely have to learn how to pace yourself. I’m still trying to come to grips with my limitations and the cycles as well.
Take care of yourself and know that prayers are being sent your way sir @1911 ![]()
I have had to really deal with chronic fatigue on and off for a little longer than a year now. The year before that I was so weak and I trying to recover from covid that the fatigue didn’t bother me as much then as it does now. Chronic fatigue is still a little new to me. I know that a few of you have said that you also deal with chronic fatigue. If any of you guys have tips or suggestions on dealing with it, I welcome any advice that I can get.
Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you sooner- my notifications haven’t been coming thru.
Good to hear from you and you, your wife and family are still on my prayer list.
God will continue to bless….He promised!
It isn’t any problem Jim. It is just good to hear from you. I fully understand taking some time to respond. We all have things going on in our lives at times that take precedent.
I have to thank you for the continued prayers. With long COVID I keep having issues pop up to deal with while still having the old issues. My latest addition to my issues is Polycythemia. Since I haven’t been wearing my oxygen anymore than what I have to my body is compensating for my damaged lungs. Also since I take testerone to keep my testerone level within normal range it also causes your bone marrow to produce more red blood cells and blood. My doctors have cut my testerone injections to half of what they normally are. When your testerone level is low it makes you feel tired among other symptoms.
Two weeks ago they ran a CBC on me and my red blood cells, hemoglobin and hemocrit came back very high out of the normal range. Your high normal hemoglobin is around 16.5. My hemoglobin was 18.9. My Hematologist ordered me to have a therapeutic phlebotomy. By the time that everything was set up for me to have the therapeutic phlebotomy my hemoglobin had gone up to 19.7. I had 250cc of my blood drawn off. I had another CBC done and the phlebotomy only lowered my hemoglobin back to 18.6. I had my hemoglobin checked before another therapeutic phlebotomy was done on Thursday. My hemoglobin was right back up to 19.6. This time 500cc of blood was drawn off. I have been very fatigued, my blood pressure is up, my heart rate and pulse is up. It will take my body a little time to adjust to basically having two units of blood drawn off. Everything feels to have came down sone after the therapeutic phlebotomy but my constant headaches. I am hoping that the headaches will go away in a few days. If not I will most probably have to have more blood drawn off. I looked at my venous blood in the line that was being drawing my blood off and it was almost black and thick like syrup.
All of my doctors don’t want to draw off anymore blood than they absolutely have to because they don’t want to trigger my bone marrow to start producing excess blood again. Between my testerone being cut in half, me wearing my oxygen more and basically 3 units of blood drawn off in just two weeks I hope that my body can level back off and stay within the normal range. I guess that we will see this week what happens.
I see my plastic surgeon this coming week. I am pretty sure that he is going to release me since my decubitus ulcer has finally closed up after two years of dealing with it. If he does that it will be a major milestone achievement for me.
April the 27th of 2022 I was finally released to go home from all of the hospitals. It will be two years that I have been out of the hospital here in a couple of weeks. It will be 2 1/2 since I caught COVID. In some ways it feels that long and in others not so much. All that I can say is that I thank everyone for praying for me, the phone calls, texts, cards and the PMs. It really means a lot to my wife and I. When my wife told some of my family members what you guys off of a gun forum and many complete strangers to me have done for me they were surprised and happy. It isn’t very often that total strangers to me or people that I have never really met in person would do all of the things that has been done for me. It is really good to know that there are still very good people in this world especially considering the current issues plaguing our Country and the world.
AMEN. i feel this way too. especially after all that i have been going through over the years with everyone supporting me.. yall and guys on other forums (arfcom) are all godsends..
I saw my Hematologist & Oncologist today. I had some labs out of value but everything is holding steady and nothing has gotten worse. Overall he was very happy with where I am currently at. I had the same type of report from my Nephrologist two weeks ago and my Pulminologist a month ago. Overall I am doing outstanding considering everything that I have been through. I can honestly say that I hit the lottery when I first survived with only a 2% chance of coming off of the ventilator alive. The second miracle is where my health is currently at. I still have many disabilities and problems but I am not wheelchair bound or fully Oxygen dependent. When you only have 29% of your lungs as healthy tissue and not scar tissue being able to go without Oxygen unless I am doing something physical is unheard of. I have pushed my body to compensate for the lack of healthy lung tissue and thankfully my body did compensate.
Guys I am not bragging but don’t always assume that your doctors and specialists always know what is best for you. If I had listened to all of those doctors and specialists I would most likely be in a wheelchair and fully Oxygen dependent. I knew what my body could endure so I pushed until I got the results that I wanted. Do I have everything that I would like to have back health wise? Absolutely not but I am thankful and blessed to have what I do have. I am satisfied and accept my current condition health wise. I know that I am only one part of this equation because the good Lord above saw fit to keep me here on earth. He blessed me to be able to share my testimony and tell about the power of prayer. I honestly believe that all of the prayers that was said for me is also one big reason that I am also alive today.
Amen Brother. Wish I was capable of coming to The Gathering and meeting all you guys, maybe one of these years. Always in my prayers !
You are one of my links in my prayer chain brother. ![]()
