Got extorted the other day. If there was ever kyptonite ![]()
Washington DC is No Friend of the General Public.
I don’t speak with the Russian Government often, but when I do, I remind them that they have something in Common with the American People.
The US Government has declared War on BOTH groups of people -
the American People AND the Russian People.
AND the Ukrainian people. The US deposed their last Democratically elected leader - Mr. Yanukovich - in 2014.
THEN the US made Ukraine a target when they started a proxy war using Ukraine as a base.
NATO is just a cover organization for the CIA.
Russia is very smart to not allow the CIA on their doorstep.
Just as the US would not want the KGB & Russian military garrisons stationed in Tijuana.
What’s happening in Ukraine is a land-based version of the Cuban Missile crisis.
I find interesting that you can ONLY find fault with the US in your fantasy world.
I see nothing of anything Putin or Russia or any other actors may have done to cause issues.
For some one that tries to be the smartest person around you seem very biased and agenda oriented.
You have a great day
Yep our government and media lies. It lies and lies some more.
Still, I say the only good communist is a dead communist. Especially those that invade neighboring countries without provocation.
This forum is for everyone, but it is based in the United States of America. The USA always get dumped on by left wing communist scum losers. But we are always expected to save the world and rescue countries who are attacked by whatever evil government, ideology, whomever. If you are a US citizen love it or leave it. If not and you don’t like it mind your own damn business or go to hell take your pick.
You just want to run off everybody huh? ![]()
Chill everyone. Personal attacks will get you a timeout and a thread lock.
Headline should read: “Diversity hire forced to do his job.”
There you go with the shotgun blast.
Its what Biden said to do.
The reality is that the current administrations in NATO and the USA have no interest in cutting the head off of the snake as it serves their purpose for this to be drawn out indefinitely.
If the US and NATO truly cared about cutting the head off of the snake then it would have taken decisive action during the 2014 Annexation of Crimea. But they’ve screwed around for a almost a decade – why? There are two reasons:
- Feckless foreign policy in the Obama and Biden administrations
- Ongoing exploitation of the corrupt Ukrainian money laundering machine
Ask the Czechs and Slovaks (read their newspapers) and you’ll find that they don’t view today’s Ukraine situation as paralleling the Warsaw Pact’s Operation Danube in Czechoslovakia in 1968. (Getting the facts straight – It was Czechoslovakia, not Czechia and it was 1968 not 1967). In 1968 the Prague Spring reforms were bringing decentralization to the economy and increased freedom in the media, speech and travel. The Soviets’ primary concern was the decentralization of administrative authority. That’s not the problem in Ukraine.
It’s easy to make a superficial comment comparing Ukraine in 2022 to Czechoslovakia in 1968, claiming that both were aggressive acts by Russia and they are therefore similar – but the parallels stop there as the underlying financial/economic motives are quite different. Such a comparison has about as much descriptive validity as saying that the current world situation is 1914 all over again.
Bear in mind that the Russian Annexation of Crimea took place in 2014 - during the Obama administration, at a time when Obama was eagerly sanctioning Iran yet was too timid to sanction Russia. Where were the calls for us to go kill communists then? What’s different now? Why do Americans care in 2022 about what they didn’t care about in 2014? It has in part to do with charismatic leadership and propaganda.
One thing that people in the USA fail to understand is that for the past 31 years Ukraine has been a master of playing the US vs Russia while they operated a money laundering enterprise that received revenue from both the East and the West. Because of it’s strategic position between NATO and the USSR Ukraine became the money laundering capitol of the world that was concurrently shared by corrupt US officials, German officials and by Russian oligarchs. This was the reason that Ukraine never joined NATO – and instead chose to forfeit the protections that they would have had to prevent the 2022 invasion by Russia. This was a conscious decision on the part of Ukraine to financially exploit both NATO and Russia at the same time. The invasion by Russia in 2022 demonstrated to Zelenskyy that his kind of politics, greed and corruption would only be tolerated for so long.
Ukraine-NATO relations began in 1991. 31 years ago. NATO was willing to go forward but the Yanukovych and Yatseniuk administrations abandoned the idea in preferring to keep Ukraine non-aligned. Ukraine then squandered 23 years procrastinating on moving forward with NATO as it maintained it’s corrupt political regimes. It wasn’t until 2014 that the Ukraine government made admission to NATO a “priority”. The problem though, was that support for joining NATO was very low within the Ukrainian public, and the administrations used that lack of enthusiasm by the public to continue their money laundering and corruption. For the 8 year period between 2014 and 2022 Ukraine was denied access to NATO because the Poroshenko and Zelenskyy administrations refused to perform the necessary reformations to their corrupt governments. They preferred to maintain the money laundering machine instead of cleaning up the corruption in their government. Ukraine made a conscious decision not to join NATO because it’s leaders were making too much in graft by keeping NATO at arm’s length. Zelenskyy was no different than his predecessors. When he rose to power he continued to operate the same corrupt money laundering scheme. The corruption and money laundering was so profitable that he did not truly want any part of joining NATO until Ukraine got invaded by Russia and he was about to lose everything after having his turn to milk the cow lasting only 2-3 years. Suddenly NATO admission became an emergency, but Ukraine has remained as corrupt as it ever was, and NATO wasn’t willing to budge, citing Ukraine’s ongoing refusal to enact reforms.
So Zelenskyy decided he would move the focus of exploitation to the gas and oil supply to bring Western Europe to it’s knees, demanding emergency admission to NATO and arms from the West. In reality Zelenskyy is no better than Putin. He’s playing the exact same cards, he’s just a different face on the same political machine that has exploited the West’s fear of Russia for decades. He’s such an expert actor and such a smooth manipulator that he’s played the American population to believe that we have to go kill Russians to save his trillions. What’s amazing is that the American people don’t even think of him as an oligarch.
Where will this lead? NATO doesn’t want expansion of Russia’s sphere of influence, but decades of corrupt administrations in Ukraine have brought Putin to NATO’s doorstep. Ukraine has never placed value on joining NATO, one administration after another in Ukraine has always preferred money laundering and corruption over national security. For decades Ukraine has demanded “independence” from both the East and the West while it claimed to want to join NATO but never took the required steps to eliminate corruption. Instead, Ukraine preferred to keep the money laundering regimes in place, never taking sides, playing both ends against the middle until Russia put an end to that game. Eventually you have to live with the decisions that you make.
This has never been a fight for freedom. It’s purely an economic free-for-all for politicians where American and German politicans use Ukraine to launder their money, where German Chancellors sit on the board of Russia’s Gazprom and where Hunter Biden sits on the board of Ukrainian energy company Bursima, tithing 10% to The Big Guy. All of the parties are so corrupt and their actions are so interwoven that there won’t be an agreeable outcome. The Financial Times even recognizes that the war cannot be won and that the peace is going to be ugly.
