That’s how I ended up working on a Wildfire Prevention program - in Athens, Greece.
Cause I lived there when I was a kid - and I know the suburbs pretty well. Very well with the assistance of aerial photos & Greek botanists.
I tried to participate in the wildfire prevention program in our own county.
They even had a “special meeting” to talk about wildfire prevention. I tried to attend - but they refused to let me present photographs of my own small wildfire prevention projects
So the only attendees were PAID to be there.
I have never seen a nation more determined to do a Thelma & Louise.
