I don’t even round up on various sites (i.e. MidwayUSA) when I checkout anymore if it’s for the NRA.
I would like to see what happens if (hopefully when) they were to have a leadership change.
Have joined, left, joined and finally left NRA years ago. Do not care for the leadership or lack there of.
US military shoots down ‘object’ flying in territorial waters over Alaska
Probably a “straw man” to help people forget that the one balloon already collected all the data.
Is intellect and honesty so rare OR are those who possess such virtues repulsed by the very nature of politics? Neither political party really stands out. It is the UniParty. It’s about power and control.
What if? What if the Chinese Communists belligerence is what will unite a US Congress? Can they finally find something they agree upon and work together?
It was probably one of our own damn weather balloons this time.
That’s right hand them over. Gas stoves, washers and now refrigerators gotta go. Our government folks.

Watching Star Trek, “The Way to Eden” pattern map for a bunch of left wing crap and where it leads.
Do you think our Government has too much time on their hands and think of petty stuff? These people are not the elite.
That WLP corruption stuff is small potatoes.
You guys must be youngsters. You’re not old enough to remember how WLP and the NRA turned their backs on America in 1986 in support of the Hughes Amendment, and campaigned for the ban on the manufacture of transferable machineguns. If you’ve ever wanted to own an MG but you couldn’t afford it due to their scarcity and high price, then you need to thank Wayne La Pierre for putting the entire weight of the NRA behind the 1986 MG ban.
I was a young shooter at the time. When I got my first real job in 1985 I became a Life Member on the easy-pay monthly plan by sending in a total of $500 over several months. I couldn’t really afford it but I thought it was important to support freedom and back then the NRA was one of the few vehicles available for 2A support.
What did I get for my $500? After I made my final payment it was only a few months later in early 1986 that I was stabbed in the back – when Wayne La Pierre endorsed the Hughes Amendment. WLP made it clear that the NRA was not an organization that would fight against banning machineguns. They voluntarily put the entire force of the NRA behind the Hughes Amendment, betraying American gun owners, citing that supporting the citizen’s right to own transferable MGs was a fight that the NRA was not willing to make. WLP actively campaigned in support of the Hughes Amendment in exchange for not being burdened with other gun control legislation.
Wayne La Pierre sold us out. Ever since then I’ve had no use for the punk.
After the NRA announced their support of the Hughes Amendment in 1986 I called to ask if I could cancel my Life Membership and get most of my $500 back. They said no. My $500 was wasted.
I’ve had no use for the NRA ever since then. If they didn’t keep sending me the American Rifleman every month I’d have nothing to do with them.
FJB is trying to change his image. When election times rolls around he doesn’t want to be remembered as Feckless Joe Biden who failed to take any action against the Chinese spy balloon. So they toss up a target in Alaska and he jumps to shoot it down, so that in the future he can talk about being Trigger-Happy Joe.
It’s no longer about reality, it’s about “spin” has been for a long time.
I saw that episode beginning on H&I last night and I recognized it as one of the crappy episodes from Season 3 – I changed the channel.
In my youth I used to love Star Trek (the original series with Shatner) because I like Sci-Fi novels. The first half-dozen episodes were excellent – they were actually famous stories that were licensed works from the greatest writers in the Sci-Fi genre. Within the first season Star Trek exhausted the supply of great Sci-Fi novellas and had to turn to Hollywood script writers to fill the void. They filled the scripts with liberal propaganda that was prevalent in Hollywood in the 1960s – and “The Way to Eden” was one of the most blatantly offensive examples of late 1960s youth pulp culture. (Trust me on this, I recognize it because I was there.)
Gene Roddenberry was a socialist who used Sci-Fi fantasies and the 1960s enthusiasm for the Space Age as a vehicle to spread his message.
Most people have been so well-conditioned to accept the Marxist doctrines prevalent in Star Trek that they don’t even realize they are being indoctrinated. The Next Generation series was particularly egregious in this regard.
If you ever wondered if modern Americans would have sat idly by in 1930s Germany, now you know.
What’s interesting is that many of the bullet points in your meme are lifted directly from Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals.

I don’t know if you may have been following the “What are you reading” thread, but I recently mentioned that I am currently reading “Gun Control in the Third Reich: Disarming the Jews and ‘Enemies of the State’”. The book is very revealing. One of the most striking take-home lessons from the book is that the current gun control propagana and legislation that has been enacted in the USA has been a direct copy of the steps that were taken in Nazi Germany. It’s no coincidence that the Great Leader’s plans are Fascist – his party’s doctrine is directly copied from Nazi Germany, including the implementation of laws that sequentially duplicate the steps that were taken in Nazi Germany. Some of the segments in modern laws and Presidential speeches (ie: the Red Speech) have been lifted word for word from Hitler’s edicts. They are deliberately following the action plan from the 1930s European Fascists’ playbook.
You know where this is going … but the problem as you point out is that most people don’t. These things happened 100 years ago in Europe, and none of the voting population has primary memory of the events or has been a student of history. They sure know about Ariana Grande, though. ![]()
My disgust and anger continues to grow as more revelations of the FBI’s abuse of the Constitution, laws in general and the American citizens continue to appear. This is what a partisan “government” looks like.

Catholicism is a Terrorist ideology? You know what they say: “Religion is Poison.”
The Government is busy concerning itself of surveilling Citizens with guns and the rights of criminals not being violated. Priorities ![]()
