Anyone know how long it takes to process an application and receive it into my grubby waiting hands? Sent it off about a month ago–actually received the cashier’s check back about a week later (for some reason I thought it cost $50; it was returned with a note saying “it’s free”). But that was the last I’ve heard of it. I have a squeaky clean record/background check and honestly I’m not really even planning on carrying. Just wondering how long it generally takes.
I believe state law is that they have to process it in less than 30 days. I always mail mine in a month early.

In 2023 it was 16 days from sent to issued, I thought was pretty quick

A couple of my friends did renewals in the end of October and they just got them back. It took about 80 days.

Going on about 3 and half months! I called about 6w ago and they seemed to have all my materials, just said “we’re getting to it, just give us time…” Lol.
