Observation - I bought the slide and Holosun daily deal combo and it took a couple of trys to install the red dot and get it to sit flat on the slide. Seems like the hole spacing was off and the screws binding on the optic (screws would go in fine individually). Also the right side screw is just long enough to prevent the extractor rod from being installed/removed without loosening the screw. Hope to shoot it tomorrow.

Did you file/grind them down?
I used the screws which were included in the holosun, which were slightly shorter and countersunk better.
