I’ve heard that the Dagger was going to be offered in different options. For instance the base Dagger is out. There is supposed to be a version where it comes with a threaded barrel. Another version is supposed to have a threaded barrel and rmr cut slide. I’m wondering if we can get the base model minus the barrel, fcg, and slide. Then PSA could offer the accessories on its site so we could customize it the way we want. This way we don’t have to wait for the premium versions to come out. Anyone else thinks this would be a good idea?
@andrew.heffker if they follow through with their original information, they will eventually offer build kits. I imagine that won’t be until they catch up with demand. So far I have seen folks buy the $299 base model and add aftermarket Gen 3 slides and barrels. Basically a new top end that allows them to have a carry version and a suppressor with rmr version.
Yeah something more like Sig’s P320 fire control build site would be nice! i hate the idea of buying a firearm and having to then spend money to make it what i really want.
it sounds like a good idea, but in reality i doint think it is. They probably are using all spare parts they can right now just to build enough to sell at each oppertunity to sell the guns… to split the parts and have the website updated with all the parts and what not would not only be a night mare but would consume valuable parts that they need for the production line daggers because lets face it theyve never really filled the demand for the guns yet. In a perfect world it would work, but in the Daggers i dont think it would.
When do they plan on releasing the models with the optic cut and threaded barrels? Anybody have any idea?
my guess would be once they finally get a grasp on having the standard daggers in stock on a regular basis. once that initial surge of demand slows and they can keep them in stock somewhat, i bet tey would start releasing the other models with the cut optiic and slide and threaded barrels… or that would be the smart thing to do in my opinion anyways…
I’m waiting for the optic cut and threaded versions. I’ve had the standard model in my online cart a few times but held off on purchasing because I think the upgraded models are just around the corner.
Yesterday was the first time I saw the threaded barrel version in stock. It also had night sights which was a surprise for me.
Ive got some pictures of it with a suppressor mounted on it to upload
What subsonic 9mm ammo do you recommend?
Where can I see some custom Daggers? Different slides and what not.
Also, I too am awaiting for the RMR cut version. Wonder if it will still be for $350?
I doubt it will be 350…
Given that PSA continues to honor the $299.99 price on the base model with a DLC slide, I don’t see why not as long as they stick with (non-tritium) steel suppressor-height sights. I certainly hope PSA doesn’t plan to incorporate TruGlo tritium Pro suppressor-height sights with every Dagger model having a threaded barrel.
I hope they do. To get an RMR cut on my g19 plus coating, I’m at the price of a Dagger lol
I too am waiting on that version, but i do hope and pray that they do sell it for that. in my opinion thats what they should have stuck with in price point wise… but i dont know what their overhead costs are on any of this so i cant speak to the reasoning. I do know im VERY impressed with the dagger for 299. thats for sure. Hell of a deal.
Well not quite, but I get your point. Industry-leading JagerWerks is $125 + $50 for black nitride.
As a side note, I prefer rear iron sight forward which is an additional $10. I can only hope PSA offers rear iron sight forward some day. That would be a huge shift in the industry. JagerWerks RMR-cuts almost half of all Glock slides rear iron sight forward, yet the industry refuses to offer this as a standard option.
Regardless, there’s absolutely no way you can custom mill a slide for less than the added $50 cost of the Dagger DLC optics/suppressor-ready slide model (and that $50 also includes suppressor-height sights and a threaded barrel). The $349.99 optics/suppressor-ready model will be the ultimate value when it comes to the Dagger.
At $299.99, the DLC Dagger is a world beater. I’m equally impressed PSA has been able to honor the SHOT Show 2020 price.
I will say I’m a little disappointed PSA didn’t introduce the RMR-cut slide first. Of course, it could have included an RMR cut cover plate for those, who at the moment, are not interested in running an MRDS.
well with all the effort that went into introducing the dagger into the public as PSA’s first foray into the polymer pistol world, i think keeping it simple (the KISS Method) was the best policy for them. And it seems to have worked after the first sanfu of the 6month delay. Im thankful that they got it ironed out and got them out to us as fast as they have. that said, i hope and pray they can get more out and to us asap. the more they can the better for everyone. i’d love to see a dagger in everyones collection. Especially at 299. hell with that price, you can afford to buy one of those and then one of the ones that are cut for rmr. Im not only hoping for a cover plate for those, but Expecting one.
granted in a perfect world they could hav eand would have introduced all models all at once, with hundreds of thousands in stock, and all at the price point of 299. and 349.00 respectively for them all. unfortunately we dont live in a perfect world. reality kinda sucks some times.
I’m pretty confident the RMR/Suppressor ready Dagger will be $449.99, based on the price range slider on the left of the ordering page. I can get all the others to disappear when slide it up to $445 to $449.99.
