Took da boyz up hunting with me! Lil snow confused them, lol.

“Human, why do you insist on sitting on the couch?” :joy:

my 2 aussies love pepperidge farm gold fish, come to think of any snack they can beg

My dad used to sit in his chair in the living room and eat roasted salted Hines peanuts while he drank his a Busch beer. If I was over there with my dog he would give Lucy (Tac Dog) a single one at a time and she was trained to take it outside through the doggy door, shell it in the mulch next to the back door, eat only the peanut and every bit of it, then come back and sit for another.

They would do it for hours. Dad’s still around but Lucy is not.

I cannot believe that i’ve missed this thread. or at least from what ive read thus far i havent posted here. so that said i think i have one or two of mine i can share.

For now i’ll post one of our newest family memebers. This is Kailani Kona. she’s just a little over 4 months old now… and is a typical lab chewing machine. shes very loveable though. She’s the little sister to our older Lab. who shares the same parents, just two years older though. I’ll post a pic of her when i find them.

Labs are great dogs! Easy to train, eager, willing, and super around kids. That being said, they will chew most anything ad can be a little exuberant in their retrieving. I trained one of mine to get the morning paper from the end of the driveway. Worked great until he figured if he could get a treat for grabbing the paper why not get more treats by getting all the newspapers in the neighborhood. He trained me into to being the paperboy.

you’re right. my older one, shes 2 now, was my first lab. i’ve been a German Shepherd dog and rottie dog guy before this, and ive been impressed with them… you’re right about the chewing though and the retrieving of things. she has a toy by Kong called a wuba and she loves it to be thrown and have a good game of catch forever. she never will let it stop if she had her way… I did find a photo we took of her last fall… so here she is. This is Bailey, a little over 2 years old now… in the photo shes probalby about 1&3/4 years old.

and i cannot forget our loving cat of 18 years… ms. Sasha. shes somethign else…but shes super loveable.
