FN barreled upper

I bought an FN barreled 18”223 wylde upper and shoot it the other day with my PSA rifle lower i had for my 16” 556 rifle. Damn those gun won’t cycle (undergassed), I put 60 rnds through it and not once that gun cycled on me, I have to pull CH everytime i fire. ANYBODY KNOWS WHY??? PSA please!

Need some more specifics and pics would be nice. What gas system length, what ammo, etc. Did you lube it really well? Have you cleaned the chamber thoroughly?

Its an 18” 223 wylde FN with a rifle length gas system, I used an American Eagle 223 rem with a 55gr ammo. I dont have a problem with regards to the accuracy, the only problem I encountered was the rifle won’t cycle

Did you build the upper or was it bought built?

I bought an upper from PSA with 18” FN 223 wylde w/out BCG/CH ( i bought them separately) That was the first time I shoot that upper out of the box, I did not lube or clean it before i shoot it. You think the “ gas system is the problem”?

I think your issue is lack of cleaning and lube. You have to run them wet.

Despite everything new? It should be lubed and well oiled. I dont know man, I guess I will follow your advice and see how it goes.

i agree with GuitarGuy, lube and clean and lube again and try again, if it doesnt run then lets see what josiah can do.

I lube everything, especially new. Run it wet. I prefer dripping wet.

Thats what she said.

Ohh yeah I like them wet too… less friction burn…
