Front Sight Upgrade

Love my AK-V but, I’d really like to upgrade the front post sight to something more visible. I would really like something yellow but would consider anything that stands out visually. Has anyone here done a front sight upgrade? If so, what brand/type?

Anyone at PSA read these threads? Can you replace the front sight on an AK-V with something more “visible”? Is it the same front sight that can be found on an AK47?

So, no one has done or looked into any kind of front sight upgrade? I guess everyone is using red dots, etc…?

I am thinking you have your answer. I would not mind a green fiber type front sight, but that might take away from the “rough and ready” aesthetic.

You may be right. I know everyone loves fancy optics and I own some as well but, I like iron sights and would just like the front one to stand out a bit.

I’m fairly positive that an AK front sight will fit in the AKV. You can get fiber optic or tritium front sights for the AK.

@Reconpatriot is correct. Front sight posts designed for the AKM platform should work with the AKV.
