After fully considering all review aspects and common positives and negatives, I’m seriously considering IMO the winner for me… Basically it runs out of the box.
I’m excited to get one of these but the JAKL is fantastic. I really want a 300 Blackout upper for mine but I’m waiting for a short short barrel length option.
Have experienced both jakl and 101. Both are great, but I think if I had to pick a fave, the jakl would win for recreation, and the 101 would edge it out for utility.
The common review thread I’ve found is that the Jakle runs flawlessly after a break in period of about 500 to 2000 rounds. Also that the gas system is sensitive to subsonic and suppressors. But when it runs people love it. I guess I like my guns to run out of the box, at least thats what Ive been accustomed to with the AR/AK platforms. Not to mention the price points on the complete or uppers are a bit eye-popping.
Well I guess I’ll hold off on this great deal for now. Its like when I was a young sailor at the port-of-call disco or country dance hall, I’d approach what appeared from behind to be a beautiful dance partner, only to find out face to face its not quite what you were expecting… "excuse me ma am, do you have the time. My shipmate back at the table would be LOL.
