I have been waiting awhile for the Gen 3 Striped upper and they aren’t available. Is there a time frame before they are available again OR are there any other mfg’s uppers that are compatible with my Gen 3 lower?
Thanks!

@Pogmusic Give me some time and I will see if I can get some put into inventory for you. I’ll check back in when I have an update. They do sell out fast, so be ready!
Thanks!!!
Heads up, these should be available within the next 48 hours under this sku:

If you have not already, sign up for the in stock notification. Once I get word that they are live I will post here again. They could go live before I am made aware so just keep an eye on the sku throughout the day. ![]()
Thanks! This is the striped upper?
@Pogmusic making sure you see Anthony’s response. Also a reminder the in stock email notification works once the product has been instock for an hour.
It has the dust cover and forward assist installed.
Already ordered! Thanks for the heads up.
Any chance a few of these can be pulled again? It would figure right after I picked up a lower, the upper would sell out, haha.
Thanks for the assist. Sorry to tag on to an old thread, but I didn’t realize new users had temp restrictions, or I would have started a new one.
Copy which upper you are looking for here so he will know which one you are looking for.
I’ve already got a barrel and gas block coming, so a stripped or semi-complete Gen3 would be ideal to match my Gen3 lower.
For specificity, this one:

The differences in Gen 3 and Gen 2 are with the lower only.
Are there stripped/semi-complete Gen2 uppers available that I’m not seeing?
No, I’m just clarifying the difference. The difference between gen 2 and gen 3 was in the lower only. BCG cuts in the buffer tube threading and a “fence” around the top of the lower to better aesthetically match the upper.
I presume that “fence” is part of what makes an alternate company’s upper not match up seamlessly? Also, there seems to be an issue with takedown and pivot pin lugs not matching the DPMS specs, and preventing a firm fit.
No, the problem is there is no standard like an ar15 when it comes to the 308 platform. That’s why PSA sells specific parts like take down pins. Even “DPMS” platform 308s there is high and low designations for rails.
I’m familiar with that. I’m just specifically talking about the pairing of uppers and lowers. Some differences appear to be aesthetic only, and done to discourage mixing and matching with other company’s components. I’m a capitalist, and have no problem with proprietary pairings, but it should be made more clear in the part descriptions when deviating from the average DPMS style.
Also, for any interested, the Strike Industries Enhanced AR-10 lower parts kit fits the PSA PA-10 Gen3 lower like it was made for it. Just another option for those who like SI stuff.
